The first brand we've added to our BigCartel store is Self Gained Tresures. The Get Doe t-shirt has been around for a little while now, but we've now got the pleasure of stocking the t-shirts. You may have seen the Get Doe design on the likes of SB.TV's Jamal Edwards, Grime MC Rival, in Big Narstie's latest videos, or even in the 1Xtra offices. It's been doing the rounds. Pick one up via our BigCartel now for only £12.99.
Blizzard - Gangster Remix [Video]
Blizzard continues with his hard work ethic with his version of Gangster. The young Manchester MC was meant to be on the official release but he submitted his track a day too late. Not letting the track go to waste the Launchpad signed artist decided to give it away for free. UV.UK filmed the video for the ZDot production.
Tré Mission Sends For Sox (LOTM3) [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
Although Birmingham MC Sox is now clashing Kozzie after apprently rejecting Tré Mission, Tre decided to send a few lyrics Sox' way and denies Sox rejected him. The reason why Sox and Tré weren't going to clash was Tré wasn't going to be able to get to England in time for the clash. Therefore Tre Mission decided to set things straight with a freestyle for the Lord of the Mics III YouTube channel.
Manga Feat. Opium, Rival & Young Kye - 48 Hours [Video]
At the start of this month I had the pleasure of giving you the exclusive off Manga's forthcoming mixtape Obzokey Wranglings. Myself and Aaron Hanson also made it our Grime Track of the Week on Hanson's House too. A few minor edits to the track and we've got a video shot by Capone for it. Re-named 48 Hours Manga spits alongside Opium, Rival and Young Kye over a ZDot production. Pick up the track for free via our Soundcloud
.
Obese - Friday Freestyle [Video]
Despite working hard on Lord of the Mics III Cameraman Sketch still has time to get videos for his own channel. This week he's put out Obese's freestyle as the Friday Freestyle. It seems Obese still has a few bars for the members of Bloodline. I doubt we'll get a reply from any of them. When was Fire & Smoke mean't to be out again?
Keep Calm and Listen to Grime Re-Stock [Clothing]
We got a re-stock on the Keep Calm and Listen to Grime t-shirts and jumpers yesterday, and half of them have already gone! We're already sold out in small and XL jumpers and for the first time ever we're stocking XXL too. So if you want to get your hands on the popular design you better hurry! £15 a top, £25 a jumper via BigCartel.
D Double E Interview With SK-Vibemaker [Video]
Some of the new generation of Grime fans may not know of SK-Vibemaker, but the old school Grime heads will remember him from hosting such mixtapes as Best of Kano - KA Blowing Up Road, Sway the Future and Boy Better Know (Best of So Far). SK is still about with his weekly podcasts on his site (http://www.skvibemakers.co.uk) alongside interviews too, such as this one with D Double E. The ten minute interview is actually very good and worth the watch. DEE talks about his Bluku! Bluku! EP, why Dizzee was on his new single, why his CD took so long, plus being a legend in Grime.
P Money - MistaJam Freestyle [Video]
It turns out Logan was in the 1Xtra buildings recently. Sadly not to get a new show which is longer than one hour on a Tuesday morning, but to do a mix for MistaJam. The Kiss 100 DJ was on the decks as P Money took to the mic. His selection of instrumentals, especially near the end where P Money bases his lyrical content around the Sibling production.
Big Narstie - Crozak [Video]
It's another 'pain' track from Big Narstie. The NAA South Londoner cuts all of the bullsh*t out of his music. There's no popping bottles, no bling, no bragging, Big Narstie is probably the realest Grime MC there is. He talks about having no money, the bills not getting paid and about doing crimes to get by, something many people I'm sure can relate to some-how. Here's another example of why Big Narstie has such a strong following with Crozak. If you like his 'Get Doe' t-shirt pick one up from our BigCartel store for only £12.99 here.
Shystie - Blue Magic [Free Download]
Shystie is on a free music spree this year. This is her third mixtape she's given away. Well, the first one was full of old tracks the fans wanted. But since then she's You're Welcome the mixtape and now Blue Magic. The hit Limb by Limb Remix even features on it, really she should of sold that one as a single. Suprisingly Rival features on Blue Magic, as does JME, Double S plus Frisco too. The production side of things seeing beats from PJam, MdotE and LZ Beats. Download Blue Magic here, then hit the jump for the tracklisting.
Tinie Tempah - Disturbing Buffalo x Providence (Tour Diary) [Video]
All this touring in the US seems to be paying off for Tinie Tempah. His album Disc-Overy peaked at number twenty-on e in the charts, whilst Written In The Stars hit number twelve. Tour of his latest destinations on his nationwide tour included Buffalo, NY and Providence on the East Coast. Tinie performs at the Kiss 98.5 concert in Buffalo and at a high-school's prom in Providence after the jump.
Jammin - Gangster Remix [Video]
It seems the video for Jammin's version of Gangster was shot last Friday judging by his attire worn in the video and at the G-Shock East Sessions. The videos keep coming with ZDot's project. But the beat has been rinsed just like Faze Miyake's Take Off beat too. Next up should be Byron's version if I'm not wrong.
Marger - KODH TV Freestyle [Video]
Fresh from his booking in Leeds after a set Marger continues performing. Leaving the crowd inside he spat a freestyle for KODH TV and a few other locals who waited around outside after the rave too it seems. With his voice nearly gone Marger still puts the effort in to squeeze out some lyrics. Don't forget his single Shadows it out on 21st September.
Stelf - Acton Entertainment Freestyle [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
This is the first time in about a month we've heard from Stelf. The last bit of material coming in a form of a hood video for his Refix freestyle. Acton Entertainment of West London linked up with Stelf of East London so he could showcase his new lyrics. Let's hope Shake My Head Volume 2 isn't too far away now...
Dot Rotten - Machine Guns [Free Download]
Dot was in a giving mood last night on Twitter. The Grime MC who's making more Hip-Hop styled music as of late decided to give away a free track. I don't know what to really make of this track. Once again Dot is singing with the auto-tune button firmly pressed down. But this time he's sounding about thirteen years old. From the lyrics spat, or shall I say sung, on the track you can tell it's a few years old. Dot finally starting barring just before the two minute mark.
Kozzie - LOTM3 Hype Sessions [Video]
It looks like we've got a good clash on our hands between Birmingham and London now. Whilst Sox clearly touched a few nerves with his Hype Session Kozzie's has done the same already. The video has been flooded with YouTube comments in support of both artists involved within minutes of it being uploaded. Koz doesn't hold back with his bars. Check out Kozzie's reply below talking about Sox' "starburst jacket".
Little Dee & P Money - In The Ghetto [Radio Rip]
Two wheels later, third time lucky and MistaJam plays the full track. When you hear the track you'll understand why the 1Xtra DJ did what he did. P Money's momentum isn't slowing down anytime soon and In The Ghetto showcases his versitality plus why many labels are after the Lewisham based MC. Little Dee on the other-hand continues to impress since moving to from the Grime genre in favour for the Rap scene.
Stutta & Roachee - Gangster Remix [Video]
The Gangster videos keep coming and coming, but here's one we didn't expect. Stutta doesn't waste anytime and goes straight from the get-go. The ZDot beat has brought out the best in some MCs and it has done again i n Stutta's case. Stutta flows effortlessly over the instrumental, then Roachee steps up. Since returning to the scene after a little time away in prision we haven't heard much from Roach. But saying that he doesn't let us down with his lyrical content in this Gangster Remix. Let's hope he has a CD out this year...
Blizzard - GTFO Freestyle [Audio]

Blizzard's work-rate has been sky-high recently. He may have not put out loads of studio tracks, but here's been doing many freestyles for several cameramen. Every week we're seeing him spit brand new lyrics for the camera. Today though it's a studio freestyle instead of a stand in front of the camera freestyle. Infact, he mentions theses freestyles over the Jaime Menezes beat during the GTFO freestyle...
Brazen - Real Talk [Video]
Now this is an old track from Brazen. I'm talking November 2007 old. This was the days when you'd catch Brazen with Ratty and Capo rather than on stage at a festival with screaming teenages girls in the audiance. Why Brazen decided to shoot a hood video for such an old track we don't know, but more of this music from him won't go a miss. This was when his music was greazy and dark. UKRecordShop.com are still selling the CD here if anyone wants it.
Durrty Goodz - What's Happening [Audio]
Just before I went to bed last night Durrty Goodz updated his Soundcloud. Doogz threw up a track entitled What's Happening. It's not on Overall nor any of his older releases either. But it does seem it was one of those tracks that never made the final cut. I say this due to Durrty Goodz using old lyrics of his throughout the track. What's Happening is something different from Crazy T's step-brother, it'sa more smooth and relaxing vibe compared to what we're use to from Doogz. A blend of old school Hip-Hop and R&B it seems.
Stormer - KODH TV Freestyle [Video]
Stomer is one of the forgotten members of the OGz it seems. He's not very active at all and living up in Birmingham when the rest of the crew lives in South London doesn't help. Also kicking off your freestyle using Trilla's flow and ending it with the typical "we're OGz" bars isn't great either. In between all that though Stormer does put together a good flow over TRC's Aa Ee Oo instrumental.
Dot Rotten - Confidence [Radio Rip]
There's been a real change in Dot Rotten's music as of late. He's moved more towards a Hp-Hop edge which appeal to the mainstream audiance. It looks like Dot could be the next top Grime artist we lose to money and fame. The Teddy production was recently span on Vectra's show back to back with DJ Spyro on Rinse FM.
Wretch 32 - Tim Westwood Freestyle [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
It seems we can't go a day without hearing Wretch 32's new song on the radio, seeing an article about him in the newspaper / a magazine or a new YouTube video from him either. Today we've got two from the man from Tottenham. Wretch 32 was recently on Tim Westwood's show and dropped a freestyle over T-Minus' Moment for Life beat. After the jump check a snippet of an interview with Wretch talking about Amy Winehouse.
StayFresh Interview @ Plan B [Video]
Last Friday saw StayFresh take a trip from their hometown of Wolverhampton down to Brixton, London to perform at Plan B. As Pressure states it was only a short fifteen minute set from the Midlands crew. Pressure introduces the whole camp plus Preditah who also took the trip to London with the team. Pressure talks about hitting up several places in the country recently (Bristol, Derby Carnival, Leeds etc. Mainly the Midlands), the StayFresh EP and forthcoming videos too, plus collaborating with other artists.
Dot Rotten - Fire In The Booth Freestyle [Video]
When Dot really tries he's a monster when freestyling. His RIP Justin freestyle some of you may know from an old set and his Lemonade freestyle are just two examples of Dot in the zone. But his Fire In The Booth freestyle was appauling. Dot is meant to be one of the best in the Grime scene. He spits over Hip-Hop, understandable as it's Charlie Sloth's show, but he can't even remember his lyrics. The video is boring and very uncreative from the former OGz frontman. He does however address the 'snake' issues.
Wariko & Durrty Goodz - Broke Bloke [Radio Rip]
Wariko is back with a brand new track alongside Durrty Goodz. Doogz features on the hook of the Beat Geeks production plus also lays down a verse on the track too. The subject of the track as you can guess is about people who act like they've got cash, but in reality, don't. Also for those who don't know Lord of the Mics III is being filmed today. Look out for Wariko's clash with Diesle soon. It'll be released via iTunes.
Newham Generals - After Hours Set [Video]
The duo of Footsie and D Double E are no strangers to the Kiss 100 building. Their most recent trip to the studios was to promote D Double's latest release, the Bluku! Bluku! EP. Logan Sama span the best Grime beats around at the moment as per usual and let the two Grime verterans flow for thirty minutes. Pick up the Bluku! Bluku! EP up now via iTunes.
Tré Mission - Woken Up [Free Download]
Something completely different from Tré Mission today. We've heard him over Grime, then Hip-Hop last week with Goodie, but here's a more mature sound from the Canadian artist. Tré also produced the beat which is anything but Grimy. It's more towards Indie if anything. Woken Up is dominated by the repetitive guitar and drums. The subject of the track being weed and Tré reflecting on where he's got to musically including his three month stay in the UK. Download here.
Marger - 'Duppy n Go' Freestyle [Video]
2011 has really been Marger's year. Since Donatella became his manager doors have open left, right and centre for the East Londoner. Last year Marger only just started getting his music onto Kiss. This year he regularly gets spins on the station alongside 1Xtra and video rotations on Channel AKA and Flava too. Margs recently linked up with YouDunnKnowTV for a quick freestyle.
Lethal Bizzle - Bizzle's Back [Video]
Since Meek Mill and Rick Ross dropped Tupac's Back in mid-June there's been a huge craze around the beat. Slew Dem's Chronik used it for How To Be An MC and Bizzle's also done his own version entitled Bizzle's Back. We first heard the track via DJ Whoo Kid's site on the 23rd June. A month down the line and there's a little video to accompany the vocal. It's nothing major, it was recently shot at one of Lethal Bizzle's recent bookings in Watford.

DJ JJ's Interview With Urban Gypsies [Video]
DJ's are one of the most under-rated assests in the Grime scene. Everyone gets excited about the artist, but never thinks about who produces the beat. The same applies to the DJs who spin the tracks. A lot of music fans don't appriciate the DJs who go up and down the country playing these tracks or the ones who go to Rinse FM at 3am to spin the latest releases. DJ JJ has toured with the likes of Wiley plus regularly DJs for the OGz. He's also started producing which he talks about during the interview.
Jammin & The Rascals @ G-Shock East Sessions [Video]
Friday night saw another packed out G-Shock store. Every month the brand holds a free night with live performances from some of the best and up and coming artists around. Last week saw the amount of female in the place rise when the Rascals were announced on the line-up. You can catch the footage of their performance after the jump. Another artist booked on the night was Jammin. The Grime MC performed several tracks off his Wake Up Call EP which you can download for free here.
Lewi White & Rawz Artilla - SB.TV Interview [Video]
Young Guns didn't do too well chart wise. With the likes of Devlin, Ed Sheeran, Yasmin and Griminal on it you would have thought a Top 40 easily. Nope, it peaked at number 86. With all the promotion behind it the release should have really done a whole lot better. SB.TV caught up with the man behind the buttons on the single, Lewi White plus another producers Rawz Artilla. The duo take us through how the track was made.
iCon - Hard or Home [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
With the Kovaish EP well behind him now iCon has moved onto new material. iCon picked up the Sibling production, which has previously been vocalled by Marger for his track Lord of Grime, and penned a whole new track around the beat. iCon's lyrical content is decent, but the hook is a bit weak. The idea for the video was also a welcome changed from the typical hood video too. It's slightly out of sync in a few places, but that's a minor.
Sox Sends For Kozzie & Tre Mission (LOTM3) [Video]
The whole situation of "who's Sox going to clash on Lord of the Mics III?" is a bit up in the air. First he was meant to clash Shifty, then Shifty went under the radar and no-one could get hold of him. A load of talking was done on Twitter, still no Shifty. So Jammer gives Sox a ring and tell him to send for Kozzie as he's looking for a clash too. Koz was mean't to clash Griminal, he also went under the radar too. Then Lil Nasty wanted it, then backed out. Therefore it looks like it's Sox vs Kozzie at Lord of the Mics III. One thing we missed out though is that Sox turned down Tre Mission too...
Rival Feat. 9 Milli Major - Pain On Tracks [Video]
A bit of a throw-back track today. This track as we know was released on Return of the Rivz, but the video never saw daylight until today. Rival gave Lockdown Records the nod and here it is. Pain On Tracks features North London's 9 Milli Major of the crew Bloodline alongside Big H, Prez T, Bossman and Paper Pabz. You can still pick up Return of the Rivz via iTunes.
RoxXxan - Daily Duppy #2 Freestyle [Video]
A second Daily Duppy from RoxXxan in less than a week. The first was on the streets with terrible audio, this one is much better. Just before RoxXxan hit the stage at the G-Shock East Sessions on Friday night she dropped a quick freestyle for the GrimeDaily camera. Catch a snippet of her performance after the jump. Also listen to her spit over Amir Amor & Woz Remix of Oh My!'s track Kicking and Screaming. They're the same female duo who collaborated with the OGz. But don't be expecting anything Grimy or any Dubstep wobbles with this track.
G.Tank Feat. Merky ACE, Big Narstie, Lex & Clipson - Round We Go [Video]
Lifted from G.Tank's forthcoming project we've got Round We Go. The producer who had a joint EP with Teddy last year has called upon four artists to feature on on his production. Merky ACE of Family Tree being the youngest name alongside NAA's Big Narstie, Lex of Slew Dem and Clipson who'll clash Jammin on Lord of the Mics III. There's no details on the release date of the Flash Forward EP as of yet.
Blizzard - Heatwaves Part 2 Freestyle [Video]
Blizzard's first Heatwaves freestyle was two months back, and the kid keeps improving everytime we hear him with new bars. Blizzard kicks off this Heatwaves freestyle naming several towns around the Manchester area showcasing his creativity. This time around Blizzard spits over Darq E Freaker's Lock Off The Rave Ultra Remix.
Lady Leshurr - Pizzin On Them [Video]
It looks like Lady Leshurr is trying to turn every single track from the Friggin' L promo into a video. The latest track to get the camera treatment is her Pizzin' On Them. For those who aren't familiar with US female artists it's the beat Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim both used for diss tracks towards each other. You can download the Friggin' L promo here via Hoodtapes. After the jump catch Lady Leshurr's full performance at I Luv Live recently, plus her freestyle on DJ Big Mike's show alongside KDot.
Romo - Gangster Remix [Video]
Freestyle after freestyle we're getting on the Gangster beat, as good as it is, it's getting rinsed. It's a bit like Faze Miyake's Take Off beat. Great instrumental, too many MCs vocal it, kill off the beat. Romo is the next artist to step up and officially vocal the ZDot production. Hailing from Birmingham here's Romo's attempt. The full EP is out on the 29th.
Doller - Unsigned Hype Freestyle [Video]
Chiba Flicks have a little series of Unsigned Hype freestyles at the moment, one of the most recent names that stepped infront of the camera being Doller, formerly Doller Da Dustman. The Cold Blooded Tank EP is in full flow with producer G.Tank with Doller announcing he recently wrapped up another track for the EP during the video.
Dionne Bromfield & Tinchy Stryder - Spinnin For 2012 [Video]
As we're not the Grime version of Heat Magazine, I didn't blog about this a few weeks ago when I got the email. There wasn't much I could say anyway. "Tinchy makes a cheesey track for the Olympics with that girl who done a track with Diggy Simmons" - that's it pretty much. This track is awful. There's a decent little switch when Tinchy spits his bars, but how he has fallen. From 96 Bars of Revenge to prancing around in a Mini-Cooper singing about how "the world keeps spinning".
Hit the jump to see Tinchy alongside Maverick Sabre making tracks with students at DV8 College.
Dream Mclean - Deadcloud Exclusive Interview [Video]
If you're a fan of Dream Mclean on Facebook or follow him on Twitter you'll know about what type of person he is. His recent interview with Deadcloud confirms this. Whilst his tracks are getting battered on 1Xtra and lables are looking at him to put pen to paper Dream is complaining about the lack of sandwichs in Tesco's. When he's not doing that he's at home eating pasta filled sandwich's instead. This light-hearted interview with the Essex based artist will let you know his favourite UK and US artists, who he'd like to work with and put to rest the rumours of him working with Professor Green to bed.
RoxXxan - Daily Duppy Freestyle [Video]
For Grime Daily the quality of the video is extreamly poor. The audio isn't clear, you can hear loads of cars going past in the background plus the choice of beat is awful. It's quite sad really as RoxXxan is a wonderful talent on the mic. Since their YouTube was shut down the site hasn't really recovered visually. Looks like it's time for other cameramen to come through...
S-X - 5000 Followers EP [Free Download]
With the Grime scene making S-X's name when the Wooo Riddim came out, the 5000 Followers EP is a release thanking his inital supporters for the support ironically. Every beat from this release is at the typical Grime pace of 140bpm. Since the Wooo Riddim S-X has worked with everyone from Chipmunk to Birdman. He's made Dance, Hip-Hop, Trap and of course, Grime. Download the nine track EP here.
Big Narstie & Infamous - Fire In The Booth Freestyle [Video]
You know how the BBC are, so is it suprising it's taken five months for the video to be uploaded? Way back in Febrary, when Big Narstie's name was buzzing again, Big Narstie took a trip to the 1Xtra studios alongside Infamous. Whilst on Charlie Sloth's Hip-Hop show the duo spat a Fire In The Booth freestyle and below is the footage from that night.
G-Shock East Sessions, Friday 22nd July [Event]
It's that time of month again, G-Shock East Session time. Every month this event is held and G-Shock get some of the finest artists around down to their shop. Previous events have seen D Double E shut down the place with Swerve on decks, and if you was at that night like myself, you know what I mean. Tomorrow sees varies Grime artists on the bill. Swerve returns to the DJ booth plus 1Xtra's MistaJam is making the trip from Nottingham. Rival, Jammin and RoxXxan are all confirmed too. Sway will do a set as will Big Shizz alongside the Rascals. It's looking to be another shut down event. Expect a road block. Get down early if you want to be inside the shop with a good view, if not you may be stuck outside looking through the window. Click the flyer above for a larger view plus the shops address.
Scrufizzer Live @ Hackney Empire [Video]
The faster spitter in Grime who's also been compared to a young Dizzee Rascal tore down Hackney Empire recently. Doing a cover of Heavy entitled I'm So Fizzy Scrufizzer took the trip from West to East London to perform. Rumour has it a few lables have been keeping a tab on the budding MC and producer. Let's hope he doesn't get signed and turn into another Kano, or worse, Chipmunk.
