So we've got five small Keep Calm and Listen to Grime jumpers left. Even though the Royal Wedding sale has ended, these have to go asap! So I'm keeping the jumpers down at £15. You better be quick! Pick one up via our BigCartel.
Kids of Grime x Y'OH After Party Footage [Video]
Thursday night saw some of the best in Grime come together for one huge set. Before that though everyone was at the Pure Evil Gallery checking out the Kids of Grime photography and the launch of Y'OH clothing too. The after party is where the action took part. Several MCs took to the microphone that night. The female artists of A.Dot, Lady Leshurr and Lioness spat their bars. Then the likes of Diesle, Rival and Merky ACE all touched down too. Below is footage of Jammer spraying some bars with more footage after the jumper thanks to the Grime Report.
Shorty Feat. Blay & JME - Be Like Us [Video]
JME's really getting the hand of this video editing game. It's another video from Shorty this week with JME behind the lense. Be Like Us features Blay as well as BBK's JME too. The track has been lifted from Shorty's latest release Short Notice. Pick up Short Notice now via iTunes.
Lee Brasco Feat. Lil Nasty – Roadside [Video]
![]() |
(Photography by Kids of Grime) |
Continuing with flooding the scene with videos, this time Lil Narst features on a track with Lee Brasco. The video isn't really different to every other standard video in Grime at the moment. You'll catch Lee Brasco driving around his area and the duo down the back streets and allys too. The down point is that maybe Lee Brasco shouldn't of done the chorus himself. Someone who's better suited such as former OGz frontman Dot Rotten could of done a better job. The beat isn't the best either.
No Lay - I Am Legend [Free Download]
Hosted by the BBC's Radio DJ Limelight today we've got a new free download from No Lay. I Am Legend is a promo mixtape to build hype for her debut EP He Said, She Said: I Am Bad which is out on the 29th May. The I Am Legend mixtape is therefore filled with freestyles and clips of forthcoming tracks from No Lay. Download the mixtape here and hit the jump for the tracklisting.
9 Milli Major Feat. Rival - Ain't Famous [Free Download]
Whilst the rest of Bloodline are havinga quiet time at the moment, 9 Milli Major is still in the studio banging out those Grimy tracks. Once again 9 Milli has linked up with Rival. This time it's for a track entitled Ain't Famous. The story behind the track is about people asking both artists to bring them, but they're not famous enough to do so. Download here.
Skepta - Community Payback [Free Download]
Finally we've got some fresh material from Skepta. There's been bits and bobs singles wise, but nothing really that Grimy like we know him for. Saying that, hopefully Community Payback does that. When Skepta was out in Miami he spat over a beat using his Mike Lowery lyrics with Chipmunk. It looks like he's hit the studio and used that beat as we've got a Mike Lowery Miami Remix. The track Frisco also features on the free download. If you want eleven new tracks by BBK's Skepta, then click here to download. Hit the jump for the tracklisting.
Keep Calm and Listen to Grime One Day Sale [Clothing]
For one day only due to the Royal Wedding the Keep Calm and Listen to Grime tops £10 and jumpers £15! RRP usually £15 and £25. Hurry! Ends tomorrow! Pick one up via our BigCartel here.
Nico Lindsay - Basement [Video]
Shot earlier in the year and lifted from the On My Mind release, today we've got a visual for the track Basement. The track has been taken from the joint EP from Nico Lindsay and Essex based producer Exo Remedy. Basement follows Nico Lindsay around his area of Finsbury Park. Download On My Mind now via iTunes.
Tinie Tempah's Smallest Ever Gig [Video]
Two-thousend fans showed up at the O2 Academy in Islington to be apart of a live video performance. Four-hundered got selected from the initial two-thousend, then the numbers dropped to one, Katie Hobbs. Everyone was given writst-bands to wear and the selected person for the one on one gig had the dark blue band, this was Katie. Right on que the other members of the crowd dispurst in a flash exit and Katie was left on her own with Tinie and his backing dancers. She didn't know this was going to happen. Check out the footage from the day one lucky fan got a solo gig from Tinie Tempah himself.
Nico Lindsay - Street Starz Freestyle [Video]
Nico can spit on anything from Grime to Rap or even Dubstep. If you download the One Year EP, then you'll know about Nico and the now (not then) bandwagon genre of the mainstream market. Whilst his SB.TV Warm Up Session was a Rap freestyle his latest for Street Starz sees Nico back on the genre of Grime.
Shorty - Just Me [Video]
Once again Boy Better Know CEO JME is behind the camera. This time he isn't shooting a video for his own track, but fellow BBK crew member Shorty. Just Me was shot on a strange location for a Grime video, a golf course. With Shorty sporting a Fred Perry polo though he doesn't look too out of place on the green. Just Me has been lifted from Shorty's release Short Notice. Pick up Short Notice now via iTunes.
Marger - Lord of Grime [Free Download]
So it looks like Marger's Grime career could be at an end. After a rant on Twitter yesterday Marger decided after the Czech Republic gig it was time to call it a day. Being banned from Rinse FM as he claimed and being blocked are the main reasons he gave via Twitter. Hopefully this isn't the end and we'll hear more tracks like Lord of Grime in the future. Production by Sibling, download here.
Little Dee, Benjamin A.D, Messy & J Warner - On A Roll [Video]
Littles is back with more Rap and has brought one of the finest around from the genre to accompany him. Whilst some of you may know Benjamin A.D (above left) and his brother Young Adz, a large chunk of you may not. Ben AD has been causing a few waves in the Rap game and his recent performance at I Luv Live at the start of this month showed this. Messy also makes a feature with bars and J Warner (above right) is on the hook.
Tinchy Stryder On Young, Gifted & Brit [Video]
Whilst the first part was posted up on the 14th of this month, here's part two. Tinchy Stryder alongside N-Dubz' Fazer, R&B singer Jay Sean and chart topper Jessie J talk about a variety of subjects within the British music industry. With Twin B as the host the four-some of artists talk about getting signed, ghost writing and topping the charts. Part one is below and part two is after the jump. More videos will follow soon.
Lil Nasty - Fireworks [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
It's another new visual from Lil Nasty, but the video looks a bit similar from SB.TV. Whilst it is a very good video by Morgan Keyz, the idea is pretty similar to P Money's Slang Like This video, which they also shot. For those who haven't heard the track before it was span on Logan's show a few weeks back. It also looks like this'll feature on Rock N Rolla Volume 2 too...
Marger Live In The Czech Republic [Video]
Whilst some artists can't even get a booking, Marger is flying across Europe. The latest on his pit-stop being the Grime loving country of the Czech Republic. Whilst there Marger performed Lock Off The Party, plus various tracks from his Kushwave EP which was released at the end of last year. Catch the performance below and a freestyle from the night too after the jump.
Kano - Acapella Freestyle + Jenga (Live) [Video]
Kids of Grime were at the latest Industry Takeover to capture some footage of the night. I've already blogged about Ghetts joining Kano on stage a week or so back, but this video is just K-A on his own. Kano starts off spitting acapella before moving into one of the final tracks off his album Method to the Maadness, Jenga.
JME - Ghost Train [Video]
A bit behind with the times with this one, but JME has jumped on Frisco's Ghost Train beat. Whilst Frisco himself as well as Footsie have both vocalled the instrumental, there's been various freestyles on the beat too including Blay and Shorty. Like most random one off tracks he does nowadays, JME has decided to pick up the camera once again and give us a visual alongside the audio.
Once Upon A Grime Sale [Clothing]
For one week only I'm doing a massive sale on our BigCartel store. Everything bar the Keep Calm and Listen to Grime t-shirts/jumpers are on sale. That's t-shirts down to £10, jumpers between £10 and £15, and the zipped jacket is also down in price too at £20. This'll run from today (Monday 25th) until 2nd May. So to save yourself some money head over to Once Upon A Grime's BigCartel store here.
Tinchy Stryder & Dappy - Spaceship [Video]
With Third Strike not doing as well as Catch 22, Tinchy decided to switch his style up for his next album. It's all good charting high with singles, but look at how Roll Deep's album sale or Aggro's chart postition, it doesn't mean the fans will always buy your release when it's out. Hopefully this new sound alongside Dappy of N-Dubz will see Tinchy taking the chart by storm again. Not just singles wise, but album too.
Lethal Bizzle - Monsta Man (Behind the Scenes) [Video]
It seems everyone is currently riding the Monsta Man wave or the Ghost Train at the moment. Whilst Footsie has done his Ghost Train freestyle, shot a video and is currently selling it on iTunes, Bizzle is doing the same with Monsta Man. Originally the track was by SN1's Giggs, but Da Bizzle thought he'd put his own spin on it plus shoot a video too. Here's a little behind the scenes from the night shoot.
Rival - Policeman Freestyle [Free Download]
Rival is one to never repeat his bars in tracks. Of course he has his reload bars at raves, but you won't hear the same lyrics over and over like some of the new wave. This is why he's miles ahead of some of them guys. Rival's latest track sees him flow over a beat by Skillioso entitled Policeman freestyle. Download the track for free here.
Voltage - Reach The Sky In Puffs [Video]
We first heard Reach The Sky In Puffs way back in August. Recently Voltage threw it onto his free download the Nuttin On Voltz EP. The eleventh track of that EP now has a video to it. It's the shortest track on the release and follows on from Voltz last video and title of the EP, Nuttin On Voltz. Download the EP for free now via VoltageOfficial.com.
Lil Nasty Feat. Mr Rios, Raw Mems, Scummy T & Myers - Black & Green [Video]
![]() |
| (Photography by Kids of Grime) |
Just like Tinie Tempah with Pass Out, Wiz Khalifa's Black & Yellow has done a lot better than expected. Tinie took the UK charts by storm and Wiz has done the same worldwide. The sound has reached East London and here's a remix from one particular area of it. Alongside a handful of other artists Lil Nasty has given us his Black & Green remix of the hit Black & Yellow.
Manga - Numbers In Action [Audio]
With Wiley's latest video sweeping the internet due to the creativeness of the director and Wiley actually showing up for once, fellow Roll Deep crew member Manga has decided to do his own version. Whilst his YouTube video isn't up to the standards of Wiley's, he's taken the title of the track and played with words in his own way. Check out the little video below too. Pick up your Team Whyme? garments here.
Dream Mclean & Siris - Coke & Vodka Launch Party [Video]
On the 7th of this month Regime members Dream Mclean and Siris put on a launch party for their track Coke & Vodka. The video for the track has been out for about four weeks now and has got over 19k views on YouTube. You can also download the track for free here. Deadcloud were at the event to capture everything that went down on the night including the live performances. If you want a Deadcloud t-shirt like Dream Mclean is wearing above, pick one up via their BigCartel here.
Blatantly Blunt Meets Scrufizzer [Video]
Blogger Blatantly Blunt helps run Urban Development events to a certain degree, and whilst at the latest event he caught up with West London's Scrufizzer. Recently rumors have appeared that Scru has caught the eyes and ears of a few labels, and after watching this video, it's not hard to see why. Whilst spitting in double time later in the video, Scrufizzer also talks about working with the likes of Lethal Bizzle.
Devlin - Our Father [Video]
Straight out of the blue we've got a video for Devlin's track Our Father. Just like Wiley's hit Wearing My Rolex though the artist is no-where to be seen. Although the video is very creative and clever, it kind of lacks that final touch with Devlin not actually making a feature during the visual. Bud, Sweat and Beers is still avaliable via iTunes.
Chipmunk Competition Winners [Competition]
We had five tickets to give away to Chipmunk's launch party tomorrow, and the time to enter has closed. The winners of the competition are Daniel Dewey plus one and Tristan Jayden Rivalen plus two. Congratulations to those guys, and if you still want to go but don't have tickets, check the banner above for more info.
Mercston - Change The Record Freestyle [Audio]
Whilst Ghetts sent for everyone on the MTV panel, Mercston has done the same regarding a tweets on Twitter. Mercs hasn't called out the names who said he can't still do Grime during this freestyle though. The idea behind this Change the Record freestyle was to show everyone that Mercston can still do Grime if he wants to, but he prefers the slower beats nowadays.

Wiley - Wise Man and His Words [Audio]
This is sort of music we like from Wiley. Yesterday his latest video with Scorcher came out, but it was so terrible it wasn't even worth blogging about. Wise Man and His Words has been lifted from 100% Publishing. This audio was ripped from Big Dada's latest Podcast. More of the same please Wiley.
Also don't miss Wiley's interview with Despa.
Lethal Bizzle - Mind Spinning [Video]
Nobody even noticed the audio until I blogged it, days later it was everywhere it. Anyway, here's the video. Bizzle said his videos would continue from Pow 2011 as a mini-sequal of episodes. Mind Spinning sees Lethal come home and party after robbing the bank alongside JME, Chipmunk, P Money etc. There's even a little glimps of Wiley at the end of the video. Looks like Bizzle could be onto a good idea here...
Wretch 32 - Someone Like You (Cover) [Audio]
Adele had both her albums in the top five, at number one and number four to be precise, at one point. She's now taking over America too wtih her voice. When Wretch 32 went to the Radio One Live Lounge he covered one of her most sucessful songs, Someone Like You. It's the softer side of Wretch, but anyone who appreciates good music should surely enjoy this one. Something different from Mr 3-2.
Edit: Unorthodox with Example added from the Live Lounge. The single is out now on iTunes.
Wariko - Blatantly Blunt Interview + Freestyle [Video]
Fellow blogger Blatantly Blunt recently caught up with Nottingham's Wariko. With Puddin & Treacle now doing the rounds on the internet, it's time to look forward to his forthcoming album. Natural Born Poet is out next month on all good download outlets. Wariko had a quick chat with Blatantly Blunt to discuss everything what's gone on recently...
Clothing Restock & Sale [Clothing]
This morning I got a delivery of practically everything that was out of stock last week. The zipped jackets are now back in store at £29.99, I've re-stock on Keep Calm and Listen to Grime too. If you're a small in size, you're in luck. Both the t-shirts and jumpers have been re-stock. Medium t-shirts have also been too. Plus the white t-shirts as seen on Marger and Nico Lindsay during his SB.TV Warm Up Session are back in stock too at £14.99. Plus we've got a little sale going on too. The Navy jumpers have to go! Down from £25 to £10. There's four medium left. Once this are sold there will be a re-stock of all other sizes in that jumper. So head over to our Once Upon A Grime BigCartel store now!
Sharky Major & Rival - Don't Watch That (Show #1) [Video]
Shot a good few weeks now as you can tell by Motive asking Rival about Lock Off The Rave and Rival vs Nytz, but here's the first show entitled Don't Watch That by Tim & Barry. The duo got Sharky Major who's been in the game since the early days, and a pretty new face to many Grime fans, Rival, for the first show. As well as the video below, hit the jump for Sharky's S-Star TV freestyle plus his latest track Inspirational too.
Kano & Ghetts @ Industry Takeover [Video]
Ghetts has already been a guest at Industry Takeover, but this time he took to the stage with long-term friend Kano. When the Pow 2011 production by Teddy was played the crowd got hyped up. Kano dropped his bars from the track whilst Ghetts unleashed his "Buss one, buss two..." lyrics. The frenzy continued when Kano took it back a few years with his classic hit P's & Q's.
Dot Rotten - Normal Human Being [Free Download]
Usually free downloads nowadays from established artists are simply put, throw away tracks. You get the odd exception like Go Rapid or a decent mixtape from an up-and-coming artist such as Dream Mclean or Stelf, but from artists who've been around for a while, it's rare. Thankfully Dot cares what he puts out to the public and doesn't just throw out any old rubbish. Every two weeks Rotten is giving away a new track via ItsDotRotten.com. Sign up and this week you'll get Normal Human Being. Download the track via Dot's website here, and check the video out below.
Win Tickets To Chipmunk's Launch Party [Competition]
With Transition out yesterday, I've got my readers the chance to win some tickets to the launch party this Friday at the O2, London. Many of you may not want to go to see Chip himself, but the likes of Wretch 32 and BBK's Skepta will also be performing on the night. I've got five tickets to give away. They'll be split into a pair and a trio. All you have to do to win is hit the jump and answer one simple question.
Chronik - Free Chronik [Free Download]
Whilst Chronik was on Logan's show in the early hours of this morning, he also released Free Chronik. The nine track free download for some reason contains Ring, which is mean't to be released as a download on 16th May alongside various remixes. Download Free Chronik here and hit the jump for the tracklisting plus Chronik's set on Logan's show.
P Money & Blacks - Boo You [Radio Rip]
The demand for vocals to be released via Butterz has grown, one of the only names Elijah said he'd work with was P Money, and he's gone and done just that. Royal T and P Money once again link up with Boo You. The OGz duo of P and Blacks spit over TRC's beat remixed by the Southampton producer Royal T. You'll be able to pick this one up on 16th May via iTunes.
J Beatz Interview With SK Vibemaker [Video]
Normally we don't get the point of view of the producers in Grime. We'll usually hear about someones latest mixtape, or what they think of the most controversial thing in Grime at the time, but producers normally take a backseat in situations like this. J Beatz covers a wider variety of subjects during his interview. J talks about the original Grime MCs vs the current new generation, artists who leave the Grime scene, Dubstep and where he sees Grime in ten years time.
Wretch 32 @ MOBO Acoustic Sessions [Video]
Another day, another Wretch 32 interview. I don't post every single interview from the North Londoner, but this time around we've got two acoustic tracks from Mr 3-2. Wretch 32 took a tip down to the MOBO HQ to have a little chat plus perform acoustic versions of his past single Traktor and his new single with Example Unorthadox which is out on Sunday. Check the interview below and hit the jump for the acoustic tracks.
Bloodline - The Real [Audio]
By the sounds of Big H's flow and the remix of his bars, this track was probably recorded a while back. Probably around the same time as Street Crime UK. The North London crew flick between Grime and Rap due to not ever member doing each genre. E.g Paper Pabs doesn't make Grime music. This is the latter of the two genres, Rap.
Also check out 9 Milli Major's performance out in Czech Republic recently.
Benny Bizzie Feat. Mercston, Opium & Rapid - Gone Away [Video]
Link-Up TV have branched out of their studio and into the outside world of film production. Rather than just film and edit the freestyles in the studio, they're now making music videos too. Their latest production comes in the form of this heart felt track entitled Gone Away. With Benny Bizzie on the hook, Mercston, Opium and Rapid express their feeling about their lost ones during this track.
Fem Fel - Volume Control Voting (Edition 4) [Voting]
Dot Rotten kicked the series off followed by Griminal then Durrty Goodz. Edition four has been switched up a bit though. Instead of running with Grime, this month Hyperfrank has switched to more of a Hip-Hop tip with Fem Fel. Until 21st you can vote for May's Volume Control with beats from Derbyshire's VeeDai, War Dubz from East London, or you can pick Beat Life's instrumental. All three beats can be heard below, head over to Hyperfrank.co.uk to vote though.
VeeDai - 4 Zulu
War Dubz - Jumper
Beat Life - 4AM
Macca - Monster Mac [Video]
Giggs was on the original, then Lethal Bizzle done a version, as did Mr Mitchell, now it's the turn of Wolverhampton's Macca. Although he's sitting on a bag of tracks ready for his next release, Macca took the time out to vocal this popular beat. Let's hope we don't hear many more and the beat gets killed off like many have before it...
