Nu Brand Flexxx - Spellbound [Video]

They've been quiet for a while now, but the Outkast's of Grime as they've called themselves are back. Haven taken a while out of the music game, Nu Brand Flexx are back with a new video and a new mixtape (artwork above). With Darq E Freak on the button (he also spits a few bars too), Boya Dee, Likkle P and SAS Killa bring us a zoned and chilled out song entitled Spellbound. Watch the video and you can clearly understand what influenced the track...

Shorty - Kids of Grime Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
Finishing off February's freestyles it's Shorty of Boy Better Know. Throughout February Kids of Grime have been using the beats from Rude Kid's Winter EP. This'll continue into March, but of course with a new selection of beats. It's been a great little bit of promotion for Rude Kid, and a good idea from Verena aka Kids of Grime.

Lowkey - Top 1 Selected (Ghetts Send?) [Audio]

Once again Lowkey has cleverly set about a track. Remember the whole Lowkey vs Chipmunk Twitter qualms? Well this time it's about Ghetts. The MTV 10 Top MCs of 2010 has caused a lot of controversy. Ghetts made a track entitled Who's On the Panel and basically sent for everyone involved bars the minus the likes of Devlin, Wiley etc. Lowkey as you'll be able to tell from the audio, wasn't too impressed about it. But just like the Chipmunk track, this isn't a send. Lowkey himself says at the end of the track "he is one of the best MCs that this country has ever seen. I' done this track to prove myself, 'cos so am I". To make things more interesting, it's over the Top 3 Selected beat...

Brotherhood Feat. Dot Rotten - On Our Own [Audio]

Sounding more like the classic Hoodstars tracks, Dot Rotten is back on the hooks once again. The Ipswich duo of Brotherhood linked up with the former OGz crew member for the track On Our Own. Dot Rotten is one of the best on Grime with hooks, and Brotherhood made a very good selection in recruiting Dot. For those who haven't heard of Brotherhood, they featured on Dream Mclean's Purple Promo III. Look out for their forthcoming release I'm Real Like Dat via Team Supreme out 3rd April.

Lethal Bizzle & 2 Face - Acapella Freestyle [Video]

Whilst performing in Birmingham, the Midlands based and dedicated to the scene Grime Blog caught up with the Fire Camp duo. Lethal B spat a couple of sixteen bars, whilst 2 Face dropped two eight bars for the camera. Pick up Pow 2011 via iTunes, and get yourself tickets to see Bizzle live here.

No Lay - Double Vision Freestyle [Video]

The last time we heard of No Lay was literally nearly a year ago now. The twenty track Big Trouble In Little London was released as a free download last March, and since then, nothing much. But No Lay fans aren't to worry though, she's back with some new bars for the camera and says she's back on music. For those who didn't download here mixtape, you may recognise her face from her F64, or her voice from the track Bars of Truth.

WerewolfMuzik Feat. Nneka - Heartbeat [Video]

Originally entitled Wake Up and released in 2009, Wolf is back with a new name and track title too. Lifted from the iBelieve pormo released two years back, Wolf re-named the track Heartbeat and had a video shot by K.Otv. Shot around the West End of London, WerewolfMuzik as he's known nowadays, spits over the Chase & Status beat with Nneka on the hook. Download the iBelieve promo here.

Dream Mclean Feat. Siris - Coke & Vodka [Radio Rip]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
DJ Cameo has been every supportive of Dream Mclean's work, and yesterday night he continued this support. The 1Xtra DJ played Dream's latest track alongside fellow Regime crew member Siris. The duo picked one of S-X's beats to talk about their favourite drink it seems.

Also Bandit Blacks who's also apart of the Regime put out a new track too. Hip-Hop though, not Grime. The track's entitled Out of Control.

Once Upon A Grime Meets Rival [Interview]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
2010 saw Rival amongst the likes of Marger, Merky Ace and Kozzie really establish their names within the Grime scene. They constantly hit raves and radio sets to promote their names and spit their latest lyrics. I recently caught up with Rival this week to talk about the sucess of Return of the Rivz, the Rastamouse EP and his thoughts on free downloads.

Manga & Scratchy Talk About Old School Grime [Video]

They've been in the Grime game since the early days and now they're chart topping. Mayhem TV caught up with the Roll Deep duo of Manga and Scratchy back-stage talking about old school Grime times. Manga reveals he's never met Dizzee Rascal and Scratch says he hasn't seen Dizz in years. The pair also talk about hitting pirate radios and not realising Scratchy was actually white until they met him. How times have changed...

Edit: Manga and Scratchy talk about the MTV Top 10 MCs of 2010

Lioness, Marvell, Scorcher, Wretch 32, A.Dot & Trilla - 1Xtra Pass The Mic Freestyle [Video]

Every year the BBC tip names to be big in that current year, and it looks like these are the names they're expecting big things from this year. The 1Xtra Pass the Mic freestyle has a variety of styles and flows. You've got the three way spitting from Marvell, the Brummie duo of Trilla and Lioness, plus up-and-coming female artist A.Dot. You'll also catch a few names who've been in Grime from the start such as Wretch 32 and Scorcher.

Also catch an interview with Wretch 32 on the red carpet at the Brit Awards.

Little Dee - Simz City TV Freestyle [Video]

Whilst working on the OGz latest project, as well as his own forthcoming album Lose To Win, Little Dee still had some spare time in the car to spit a quick freestyle. Littles is more on a Rap tip nowadays than Grime and you'll be able to catch him on Lewisham's very own BlueRay CD because of this. Pick up the BlueRay CD here.

Griminal - Talkin' About It [Video]

It's that time of month again, and here's the second Volume Control. Hyperfrank and Roundhouse studios this month hooked up with clothing brand Trapstar plus N.A.S.T.Y Crew member Griminal for February's edition. The votes were counted up and South London's SNK got the producers nod this month. SNK's beat has that slight Dubstep edge to it, something you wouldn't usually catch Grimsom on. But then again, that's the fun of this project.

Stay Fresh - Friday Freestyle [Video]

(Photography from Raider's latest video When You Hear This One)
Everything about this week's Friday Freestyle involves the Stay Fresh crew. As well as a trio of the members spitting some bars for Cameraman Sketch' camera, the beat was also produced by a member of their crew. J1, Movez and Raider feature this week to show us how the Midlands do Grime. Young producer S-X was on the buttons for the instrumental playing in the background.

Wiley - Yo Riley! [Radio Rip]

Switching up to his Trini flow Wiley is back with Grime. There's no sign of a Tweet Back track, it's Wiley at his finest again. DJ JJ of Rinse FM got the exclusive for this track where Wiley talks about one of the most infamous thing he does, not show up. It's well known Wiley hasn't shown up for several of his videos, he wasn't on the Roll Deep album cover, and there's been various shows he hasn't turned up too as well.

Ghetts Feat. Rapid - I Told Ya [Video]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
The MTV Top 10 MCs has actually done Ghetts more good not being in the selective ten than bad. Since then Ghetts hit the studio and has put out two solid tracks. Not half-hearted cheesey Electro-Grime tracks, pure Grime. I Told Ya see Ghetts link up with Ruff Sqwad's Rapid. Rapid jumps on the hook as well as producing the beat itself. Ghetts also performed Who's On the Panel live in Nottingham the other night, and thanks to Ralph Hardy we've got a behind the scenes from I Told Ya too. Check that out after the hood video below.

Wretch 32 Feat. Alex Mills - Anniversary [Video]

We've seen Wretch 32 grow and mature over the years, and this certainly one of the most grown tracks he's produced yet. Wretch is back with a mellow track talking about how he'd rather have love over money. Anniversary features the talented Alex Mills who you may remember due to work with Roll Deep many years ago. Below you'll catch the visual for the track, and above you'll catch a photo from Wretch's next video. Look out for the video with Example in a few weeks, the track's called Unorthadox.

Nico Lindsay & Exo Remedy - On My Mind [Review]

On My Mind is the heavily grimy new EP from Grime scene pioneers Exo Remedy and Nico Lindsay. All five tracks have some of the best Grime beats I’ve heard for a long time, and the lyrical power to back up the beat.

Casper - 100 Bags Freestyle [Video]

Another week, another Stay Fresh member giving us their take on S-X's 100 Bags beat. This week the producer is back behind the camera and also edited the whole video too. Casper is one of the names in the ever growing list of members from the Midlands crew to vocal the beat, and I wouldn't be suprised if we see an EP or mixtape appear from this project. If you want more music from Casper, download his latest track People Talk here for free, or his free mixtape All For Da Paper here. Check the video out below for his 100 Bags freestyle.

Wolf - K.OTV Freestyle [Video]

With Werewolf Musik Volume 1 just around the corner, Werewolf laced up some new bars for the K.OTV camera. After the imfamous disappearance after the Grime Daily party last year, in 2011 West London's Wolf is back on the music grind. For his latest freestyle he spat over one of Rude Kid's beats.

Dirty Danger @ I Luv Live [Video]

Videos from the I Luv Live events are becoming a regular feature now on this blog. There's always a good mixture of Grime, Hip-Hop and Rap at the Monday night show. For those who don't know, I Luv Live has now moved to Cargo in Shoreditch and the next event will take place on 7th March. The latest Grime act to feature at the last show being Ruff Sqwad's Dirty Danger. Here's his performance of Send Me Your Number.

Blaze - Brandon Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
Keeping the viewers and listeners interested, Nationality's Blaze is back with another alternative hood video for his latest track. Last time we heard Blaze alongside Mr A for the track Ghost Town. This time he's back on a solo tip with a freestyle over one of Maniac's finest productions. Director Chas Appeti clearly knows how to work a camera better than various other cameraman shooting Grime videos, and it's certainly paying off. Another well worked video with a solid vocal to match from Blaze.

Connect4 Feat. Ghetts - Active [Video]

Hours before Ghetts exploded on Twitter regarding the MTV 10 Top MCs of 2010, he was in the studio with a few Manchester based artists. The C4 trio of Wrigley, SBD and Sly Boy travelled down to the capital to join Ghetts for a studio session. During that period not only did they record the track entitled Active, a quick video was shot within the studio too.

Trim x TRC - I Am (Clip) [Audio]

Played on Logan's show during the early hours of Tuesday morning, it certainly caught the attention of a few Grime fans on Twitter. Trim has jumped on TRC's Skippy Rope production to bring us the track I Am. One again Trim has a new flow and has it down to a tee. No release date as of yet, but pick up the instrumental for £5 on vinyl over at the Butterz store.

Lil Nasty Documentary [Video]

In the lead up to the Rock N Rolla EP, alongside Press N Play Media, Lil Nasty put together a little documentary of how the week went. Day one you'll catch Lil Narst in the studio putting together the tracks, followed the next day with a studio session with Ruff Sqwad's Dirty Danger. Footage of his performane alongside brother Griminal at I Luv Live also features, as does his freestyle for Logan's show. Just over half an hour long, and well worth the watch. Check it out below, download the Rock N Rolla EP here.

P Money x Beatboxer Lippicool Freestyle [Video]

Recently Lippicool beatboxed for the two Stay Fresh members, Raider and Pressure, now he's back alongside South London's P Money. The OGz crew member was on his travels around the UK performing as per usual when he caught up with Flush Media. Here's his latest freestyle with beatboxer Lippicool providing the beat.

Also don't miss the footage from his session at the Maida Vale for the BBC.

Ghetts - Who's On The Panel [Video]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
Sunday night there was a show on MTV Base where several people from the music industry discussed their Top 10 MCs of 2010. The likes of Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Giggs and Professor Green. Each one of those artists in their own rights had a very good year last year. The problem was Ghetts wasn't even featured in the Top 10 despite dropping a solid CD such as Calm Before the Storm and numerous videos and features throughout the year.

Later that night after the show had finished, Max of Radio One leaked the original list. This didn't include Chipmunk, Dizzee nor Lowkey in the original ten. The list had been changed. Even Maxsta slipped in at number ten, but still no Ghetts (both full lists here).

Ghetts took to Twitter to unleash his anger venting several tweets towards the panel which included Kiss 100 Grime DJ Logan Sama, RWD's Chantelle Fiddy, journalist Joesph 'JP' Patterson and Hip-Hop DJ Charlie Sloth. The man formally known as Ghetto decided to hit the studio and make a track expressing his anger after asking his followers to send him beats for the track.

The track Who's On The Panel was premiered on Logan's show in the early hours of this morning, despite Ghetts calling Logan a "snake" on Twitter then going on to say he "didn't rate" the Kiss 100 DJ in the track. The audio and video were recorded both on the same day. It caused so much hype Ghetts even became a trending topic on Twitter. So without anymore delay, check out Ghetts venting his anger doing what he does best.

Devlin Tour Diaries - Part 3 [Video]

This is Devlin's third tour diary, and with an extended tour coming up expect to see many more videos. The latest clips to be featured in this complimation include a club performance at the Skins party in Kent. You'll also catch Devlin on stage performing with Jessie J (listen to the full track here), as well as rehersing for the Radio One Live Lounge, and actually performing at the Media Vale with Ed Sheeran (listen to the track here).

Nico Lindsay - Kiss 100 Footage [Video]

(Photography by Kids of Grime)
The first week into February Nico Lindsay hit Kiss 100 to promote his release alongside Exo Remedy. Both the artist and producer were inside the studio during Logan Sama's hourly slot. The On My Mind EP contains six vocals from Nico himself, plus four instrumentals from Essex based producer Exo Remedy. Pick up the EP via iTunes, and check out the footage below.

Lil Nasty - Nasty by Nature [Video]

Shot way back at the end of April last year, finally, we've got the Nasty by Nature video. Originally the video went up in November but got swiftly taken down. The younger brother of both Marcus Nasty and Griminal has probably produced one of the best Grime tracks of 2010 which featured on the DTA mixtape. Lil Nasty brings his typical style to the track, and the quality of the video only enhances how good a track it really is. This'll be Lil Nasty's forthcoming single.

Tré Mission Interview In Liverpool [Video]

Tré Mission has already been up and down the England in his short stay over here. After landing in London earlier this month Tré went on to perform live in Brighton. He's also been on Logan's show last Monday night, and was on Tim Westwood's show tonight alongside JME. The Canadian Grime artist will also be putting in a performance tonight at I Luv Live. Tré was recently up in Liverpool, Wiley's second home, to work with the Godfather of Grime where Mayhem TV caught up with him. Tré talks about his forthcoming releases, where to find his past releases and how he's finding England.

Edit: Daily Duppy freestyle added.

Manga - Flush Raw Freestyle [Video]

The latest London to Birmingham link-up coming in the form of Manga's Flush Raw freestyle. Despite chart topping Manga proved he can still cut it in Grime with his Mike Lowery freestyle a few weeks back. A few shots were aimed towards Bloodline and Big H, but there's been no reply from that crew regarding the lyrics. Check out Manga's latest freestyle below via a Preditah beat.

Doller Da Dustman Feat. Natasha Carver & Intensi-T - Next To Go [Video]

Something a little different from Doller Da Dustman today. The Go Getter hooked up with beat-boxer Intensi-T and singer Natasha Carver in the studio to perform an alternative version of Next To Go. Intensi-T provided the beat with his beat-boxing skills whilst Natasha Carver sang the hook. Diversity is the key to making it in music. The Art of Rhyming is out now via iTunes.

Also check out Doller's interview with the Grime Report to talk about his new mixtape and other forthcoming plans this year.

Dapz - Psycho Freestyle [Video]

Dapz of West Brom has hooked up with one of the best camera crews around for his latest freestyle video. It's not a stand infront of the camera and spit freestyle, this has been recorded at the studio and has a basic concept to the video. Averix on production for the Psycho freestyle.

Tempa T To Feature on Pow 2011 Remix? [Video]

Another Lethal Bizzle interview today, but this time around he isn't talking souly about Pow 2011. Although the track does get brought up, there's no talk of "who had the best verse?" etc. Lethal does reveal though that he want Tempa T on the track, but due to touring with Chase & Status, Tempz never quite made it as we all know. But there is some interesting talk of a Pow 2011 remix, just like Bizzle done with Pow 2 back in the day. So maybe we could see Tempz on the latest mainstream Grime attempt after-all...

C4 & Sox - Looselips TV Back2Back Freestyle [Video]

The brother of Birmingham based producer Preditah (who produced both these beats) is back with a new freestyle. Rapid Feat. Ghetts - New Flow

Rapid - Spyro Dubplate Freestyle

Tré Mission, JME & Shorty - London Freestyle [Video]

Before hitting the Kiss 100 studios for Logan's show, the trio of Canadian Grime artist Tré Mission, Boy Better Know CEO JME, and fellow BBK crew member Shorty hit the streets of London to spit a quick freestyle. JME kicked off the session by spitting over producer Preditah's beat from Birmingham. They quickly drew in a crowd in which Tré showcased why he's been tipped to become a big name in Grime this year. Tré's EP Maxin' Everything is out on the 20th.

Snakeyman - Making Moves [Video]

Making Moves will be Snakeyman's second single, plus will also feature on the film Terry (out March 10th). Despite the cheesey start to the video, Snakeyman puts together a catchy hook accompined by a strong set of lyrics. Making Moves swings more towards Hip-Hop than Grime. Swindle was the man on production for this track.

Tiny x JayKast - S-Star TV Freestyles [Video]

S-Star TV recently linked up with the pair Tiny and JayKast. Tiny took a while out of the game, but in 2011 he's back on the scene, and has a few words for both Marger and Rival. In general, he isn't a fan of the whole new wave of Grime artists. Tiny spat over one of ZDot's productions for his freestyle.

A few days back you saw and heard footage of JayKast going in on Deja Vu. A couple of days later he was spitting a freestyle for S-Star TV on his birthday. JayKast also used the same ZDot beat as Tiny used for his freestyle.

Tinie Tempah Live @ The Brits 2011 [Video]

Whilst picking up two awards of the four he was nominated for, Tinie also took to the stage, but he wasn't alone.
