Fused Forces Feat. Blacks - Just Do You [Track of the Week]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

It's been a quiet week for Grime this week. There's hasn't been as much as usual going on as usual, but Grime can't die overnight. This week the competition was between OGz Blacks, Outakers Devlin and everyone else who jumped on the track Game Over. Devlin released the track O.T Show via his Runaway EP, which was a good track, but no the best this week. We finally heard the full version of Game Over, but Chipmunk was so awful on it, that what's the point of handing that track Track of the Week if Chip doesn't even acknowledge the Grime scene? Therefore, this weeks winner is Blacks. The OGz crew member hooked up with the duo of Fused Forces to bring us this Dubstep-ish track Just Do You.

P Money Interview For Kix Magazine [Interview]

Earlier in October I caught up with OGz P Money for an interview for Kix Magazine. As the November edition is now here, you guys can finally read it. We talked about why his releases took so long to come out, OG Season Volume 2, and his new CD with Blacks. Head over to Kix Magazine to read it, click here.

A List Feat. Mighty Moe - Not Alone [Audio]

They've been quiet for a while whilst Roll Deep are chart topping, but the A-List are back with a brand new track. Alongside Mighty Moe, you'll hear the familiar voices of J2K and Wiley on Not Alone. Their first studio album was meant to be out this year, but still, no update. Until then, enjoy Not Alone.

Tinchy Stryder - Road To Third Strike (Ep. 7) [Video]

He's always busy, and if you've been watching the video diaries like I have, you'd know this. The Star In The Hood took a trip to LA recently to shoot a new video. This one being for track eleven off Catch 22, Let It Rain featuring Melaine Fiona. Also, if your a fan of Tinchy's clothing range, you get a sneak peak at the jackets that are coming soon too...

P Money & Little Dee - FWD360 Interviews [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

More footage from after the This Is UK Grime CD launch party now. As well as filming Kozzie's interview, FWD360 also caught up with OGz P Money and Little Dee. Out of the two, P's interview touches on more subjects. P Money talks about not watering down his music, powerful lyrics and about N.E. Little Dee goes on to talk about house parties, being recognised outside of London and talking to record labels.

Jendor Feat. Blacks - 100 Rhymes [Audio]

The OGz duo of Jendor and Blacks have come together to bring us the track 100 Rhymes. The sounds of the Rude Kid productions suit todays Halloween very well. 100 Rhymes is that dark sounding Grime music, there's no electro edge or watered down sounds to this track. This is another reason why OGz are the top Grime crew at the moment...

Nelly Furtado Feat. Wiley - Night Is Young [Radio Rip]

Yesterday was saw barriers broken when Julez Santana sat on the same track with Wiley and Giggs, and today, another is broken. Even though Wiley said he's quitting Grime (again), new music from him seems to keep coming through our speakers. The latest being a link up with Nelly Furtado. As you can guess, it's not Grime, more dance/electro music for the clubs...

Kozzie - FWD360 Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

During and after the This Is UK Grime CD launch there was a large amount of cameras around. Everyone was either snapping away, or trying to film something. FWD360 set up their camera outside the Fenchurch shop after the launch, and Kozzie past by to drop a few bars for their camera.

Halloween Discount - 15% off [Clothing]

Special Halloween offer, 15% Once Upon A Grime clothing here. Prices will revert back to normal tomorrow. Enjoy!

Once Upon A Gime Presents: Jammz - I Am Grime EP [Free Download]

Known to some of you as Jamski, Jammz burst onto the Grime scene this year with his free download What's the Latest? and today he's following up upon the sucess. Over here at Once Upon A Grime, we're always looking to push new talent, and Jammz is one example of this. I Am Grime is a small EP sampler before Jammz unleases the full mixtape. ZDot has a couple of beats on the EP, as does Jammz himself. Shemzy and Skilzie both also make features vocally on seperate tracks. Hit the jump for the tracklisting, and download the EP here.

Rival - Return of the Rivz [Release]

He's been building the hype up all month, and now we can finally get our hands on Return of the Rivz. Via BandCamp you can pick up Rival's first mixtape for a mear £3.99, and from the 15th November, physical CD copies will be avaliable. The mixtape includes such tracks as Gun Reload with Marger, Swing By alongside Ghetts, and Pain On Tracks with Bloodline's 9 Milli Major on the feature. Download here from BandCamp.

Wiley, Giggs & Juelz Santana - Bright Lights [Radio Rip]

When Wiley went off on one and sacked his manager on Twitter, then leaked the Zip Files, the original version of this track was included with the other leaked tracks. This time around J2K and Swiss have been replaced by Game Over artist Giggs, as well as the US' Julez Santana. The production being a joint effort between the producer of the moment ZDot and Dan Dare.

Little Dee - Light Work [Review]

“Two double O nine, I rap now” - finally, in 2010, he raps now. It’s been coming for a while, and Little Dee has finally switched over to the Rap genre. But don’t get me wrong, he still does make the odd Grime track as you will hear on Light Work, but there’s more Rap than Grime if anything.

Lil Nasty - Young N Hungry Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

Jump was the first track in ages we've heard from Lil Nasty, and that was a feature on a track as well. Young N Hungry got the N.A.S.T.Y brother infront of the camera for a quick freestyle over ZDot's Hard to Kill beat. Hopefully now Lil Narst has some fresh bars, we'll hear some fresh tracks from him soon too...

Rival - Street Starz Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

Now a member of Risky Roads Recording, Rival is just hours away from releasing his first mixtape, Return of the Rivz. The amount of hype he's created around his name without releasing one is amazing. Rival has constantly hit Grime raves, radio shows, and put out free tracks to get a buzz around his name. Return of the Rivz out deliberately on Halloween has also had a bit of hype built around it, let's hope it lives up to the expectations tomorrow. For now, check out his recent freestyle for Street Starz.

Once Upon A Grime T-Shirts 20% Off [Clothing]

Quick update, for 20% off, enter the code 'Wariko' or 'Blenda' over at the BigCartel store, depending on who you saw first with the t-shirt.

Snakeyman - Snakes & Ladders [Free Download]

October has been a month full of releases, and they haven't stopped yet. The latest artist to put out a mixtape being Snakeyman. After a delay of a couple of months, the mixtape with features from Skepta, Bashy, D Double E and G FrSh just to name a few names, is finally here. Download Snakes and Ladders here, and hit the jump for the tracklisting.

Wiley Feat. Tania Foster - Take A Picture [Radio Rip]

It was played on MistaJam's show tonight, but it also turns out DJ Swerve also played it on Kiss earlier in the day. Due to be released in January 2011, today we've got Wiley's new track Take A Picture with Tania Foster on the feature. Being his next mainstream single, don't expect Grime from Wiley with this one...

Skepta - Supporters (Live) [Audio]

Another track taken from the MOBO's tour, this time around from Birmingham. Supporters is a more mellowed out track by Skepta, not really that Grimy, nor is there much hype to the track. Overall, it's sounding like an album track rather than a single. One of those where some people would easily let the CD run, others, skip it.

Mercston - Ventilation EP [Free Download]

Like we told you yesterday, as of 5pm today, Mercston unleased his latest installment of music, the Ventilation EP. The last release being Better Late Than Never, and it looks like this EP could out-do the previous. Mercs doesn't slack with the features on the EP. Expect to hear lyrics from Maxsta, Wretch 32 and Stutta on the EP. Download the eleven track EP here.

Vice x Puma Party [Event]

As well as the latest Grime news, we also provide info on nights out. This time around, Vice Magazine have hooked up with Puma to put on two big events in both London, and Manchester. It's a night of games, late night revelry and DJs. All you have to do is sign up, say which city you'd like to party at, and if sucessful, you'll get yourself a ticket. Enter here.

Doller Da Dustman - Edski TV Interview [Video]

Doller Da Dustman is one of the most hard-working Grime artists around at the moment. His unique relationship with producer ZDot has pushed both of them towards the top of the Grime scene. When you hear a Doller track, 99% of the time it'll be ZDot on the buttons. Edski TV caught up with the Edmonton born rapper the other day to chat about Set To Be King, his clothing range, and what the future holds for Doller.

Skanx - Street Starz Freestyle [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

Whilst at the video shoot for Rival's track, Street Starz quickly catch up with the man who clashed Flirta D at Mic Fight. As well as an acapella freestyle, Skanx also tells us he's not 100% on Grime music nowadays. He goes on to say he's done Grime for many years now, and he's just going to make music he likes instead. Shanx is more than Grime now...

Cheryl Cole Feat. Dizzee Rascal - Everybody [Audio]

A few weeks back, it was the Sun who reported a Cheryl Cole and Dizzee Rascal link up. Many of us, like me, forgot about the track unless your a massive Girls Aloud fan, or some screaming teenage girls. Well, it turns out that the other day the audio for Everybody is finally out in the open as Cheryl's album has been released. For those who don't want to listen to Cheryl sing, skip to 2:30mins to hear Dizzee.

Wariko & Blenda of Beat Geeks with Once Upon A Grime T-Shirts [Clothing]

Just a quick update regarding the clothing, the latest artists to get their hands on a piece of Once Upon A Grime clothing being the duo from Nottingham. Beat Geeks produce pretty much all of Wariko's beats, so when Wariko hit I Luv Live in Shoreditch on Monday night, the pair came to the capital with him to watch him perform. Whilst at I Luv Live Blenda of Beat Geeks picked himself a t-shirt as did Wariko. Both can be seen holding their tops above, and there's a couple of pictures below of Wariko performing. Check the Once Upon A Grime BigCartel to get your own t-shirts.

Mercston - Ventilation EP [Artwork]

A bit out of the blue this one, but tomorrow, on his birthday, Mercston is giving away a free EP via his website Mercston.com. There's no tracklisting yet, or a hint of how many tracks or who'll feature, but after the sucess of Better Late Than Never, hopefully Mercston will continue with that into this EP. It's one to look forward to and download regardless tomorrow anyway.

Sway / Context - Game Over Remixes [Audio]

Now the track has leaked, expect many remixes of the track an artists jumping on the beat. First off, one of the best lyrists in the UK gives us his version. Sway completes a whole new version of Game Over by placing his well written lyrics as usual over the beat.

As well as Sway, Context MC has given us his own two cents worth with his bootleg remix. Context jumps on the track and spits a quick 16 into the equation after Giggs' verse.

This Is UK Grime CD Launch Footage [Video]

The other night down at the Fenchurch store in Covent Garden saw the launch party of the CD This Is UK Grime. As well as performances from the likes of Jammer, Frisco, Badness, OGz plus Kozzie, there was even free drinks avaliable too. Many bloggers, photographers and cameramen showed up to the event, so I've got several videos for you today. I've put them in an order that's closest to how the night went, but you may see the odd repeat of a performance. Check them out below.

Skepta - Billionaire (Live) [Video]

If you've got Light Work, you'd of heard Little Dee's version of Billionaire, but if you went to the MOBO's tour, you would have heard Skepta's. Whilst in Birmingham the BBK crew member was filmed performing his version of the smash hit by Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars. But as you could have guessed, this won't be on Doing It Again, but it would be nice to heard the full quality version though...

Newham Generals - 6 @ 6 with Tim Westwood [Video]

As quick as he ever is with the uploads, the video footage of the Newham Generals on Westwood's show is finally up. A few weeks back the Newham Gens hit the BBC studios to countdown the 6 at 6 with Tim Westwood. The Gens also touched on about the Bag of Grease EP, D Double E's Streetfighter track, and other releases being released on the same day.

Fused Forces Feat. Blacks - Just Do You [Radio Rip]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

Freshly ripped from DJ Cameo's show, today we've got a new track by OGz' Blacks. The OG member hooked up with the two Grime and Hip-Hop producers/DJs Fused Forces from Essex. Just Do You is lifted from their forthcoming release Remain Unlabeled.

8 Free Wiley Tracks [Audio]

Wiley's at it again, eight tracks this time, three vocals, five instrumentals. The duo of Brazen and Breeze featured on the track Tomorrow, whilst Alaine makes a feature on Weak. With all these free tracks floating around by Wiley, it does beg the question, why should we buy his music? After all, he's only going to give it out and throw it away at some point. Hit the jump for the tracks and download links.

Edit: Also, check out Wiley - It's Wiley, spitting over the Eskimo beat here.

Ghetts & J2K On The Soul Assasins Radio (USA) [Video]

We all know Ghetts was over in the States recently due to his freestyle in LA, but Roll Deep member J2K also joined him on the trip. Both of the Grime artists hit the Soul Assassins radio to show the Yanks a bit of Grime. Ghetts and J2K went back to back over several Grime beats spitting new bars for their American fans.

Tinchy Stryder Feat. Taio Cruz - Second Chance [Artwork/Release]

As of today you can pre-order Tinchy's new single Second Chance with Taio Cruz, and here's the artwork. It's similar to the Third Strike artwork, but it's still pretty weak. Enlarge a picture of Tinchy, fade it a bit, slight blend, building behind him, done. Pre-order the single here.

Bashy Vs NAPT - Make My Day (Behind the Scenes) [Video]

Turns out Bashy has a new track up his sleeve, and he's shooting a video for it too. Just from the behind the scenes, the video for Make My Day is looking very American styled. Something completely different from Bashy's infamous track Black Boys where you could see Bash around London on a BMX. Also, from the title, as you can guess, it's another sampled track. Sampling is very common nowadays, but doesn't it show the lack of originality by the producers? Or even the artists themselves?

Devlin - O.T Show [Audio]

Six days from now Bud, Sweat and Beers is finally unleashed upon the public. After a couple of years of Devlin say it's coming out, finally under Island Records it is. So expect lots of leaks of tracks to appear in the next few days or so. One of those tracks being this one, the O.T Show. But, according to the tracklisting, this isn't even on Devlin's forthcoming album though (Edit: it's from the Runaway EP). Still, for anyone who thinks Devlin has watered down his sound for the mainstream, here's another example of he's still got it, and won't do a Chipmunk on us...

Tinchy Stryder x Chipmunk x Devlin x Giggs x Example x Tinie Tempah x Pro Green - Game Over [Radio Rip]

Finally we can hear the full version and judge the track. The track was preimiered on Westwood's show yesterday, which included both Example and Chipmunk for the first time. Game Over contains all the best and most popular Urban acts in the UK at the moment. But as usual, Chipmunk brings his annoying cocky chat to the track once again, something we've all had enough of by now

Kozzie, Darkz, Armzout, Scrmz, Jay Kast & J Formula - Freestyle for Kids Of Grime [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

On Saturday night, Kozzie, Rival and Lioness were all booked for a live PA at the Old Blue, Shoreditch by No Hats, No Hoods. To be fair, it was a bit dead until Vectra hit the decks and finally put some life into the party. After a bit of mixing by Spooky, the trio took to the stage and tore it down. A few others joined the Grime artists, and afterwards, they leaked onto the streets outside for a freestyle. Kids of Grime caught all of the footage on her trusty camera.

Nico Lindsay - Go On [Video]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

Grime has been a very healthy genre is 2010, and here's a product of that environment. Throughout 2010 Nico Lindsay has constantly kept his name out there, Go On being the latest example of his work. As well as shooting a freestyle the other week, S-Star TV also shot the video for Go On too.

Once Upon A Grime Store - Now Open [Clothing]

The Once Upon A Grime BigCartel store is now officially open. Initally only two t-shirts avaliable, but if these sell well, then there's plenty more to come!

Check out the store by clicking here.

Young Kye - Creative Mindz Freestyle [Video]

As well as sponsoring this months competition, Creative Mindz also shoot videos too as well as make mixtape covers. On Friday there was a new video shot for a track of Young Kye's, and whilst there, Creative Mindz got a quick freestyle from the Luton based artist. The video contains fresh bars from the A-List representative and the beat itself isn't even finished yet infact. Everything is brand new for your eyes and ears.

Devlin - A64 of his F64 #2 (Special Edition) [Video]

Devlin is the UK Urban mainstream artist at the moment. With Bud, Sweat and Beers out on November 1st, and Runaway out yesterday, the hype around his name at the moment is amazing. His original F64 got such a big responce, SB.TV decided to hook up again with the Grime artist from Dagenham to spit the F64 again as an A64.

Skilzie - This Year [Video]

The new wave of Grime artists are starting to come through now many have left for the mainstream, and Skilzie is one of them. Skilzie has built up a little reputation for himself in 2010, and in 2011, it's going to a year which the young Grime MC is certainly going to establish his name more within the Grime scene. The latest video to be shot by Skilzie being over a ZDot production, and being entitled This Year.

Doller Da Dustman - Set To Be King [Free Download]

After a couple of set-backs, it's finally here, Set To Be King by Doller Da Dustman. The hype about the free mixtape has been building up for a good couple of months now, and now it's finally been released. As you can guess, most of the productions are from ZDot. The twosome have formed a little dymatic duo when making tracks, and it's very unusual nowadays to see Doller not on a Z beat. But when it isn't a ZDot instrumental, Doller doesn't slack. Bless Beats and Nocturnal both have productions on the mixtape, as does G Tank infact.

As for the features, one of the Grime tracks of the year makes a feature, Skadoosh, which includes both Ghetts and Maxsta on the track. Other features include Mercston formally of the Movement, Big Shizz plus North-West London's D-Bo also.

Overall it's looking to be a solid release from Da Dustman. You can download the mixtape here, and hit the jump for the tracklisting.

Tinchy Stryder - Road To Third Strike (Ep. 6) [Video]

It's week six, and this week we see Tinchy at the MOBO's. You'll see everything from the start to the end. That's from Tinchy soundchecking on stage, to picking up a few free gifts including DJ Hero 2, the red carpet treatment, as well as clips of his performance with Giggs, Devlin, Pro Green and Tinie Tempah. Usually every week we find out some special from the video to do with Tinchy, but not this week sadly. Although, we do find out that Money clothing are now making trainers which'll be on sale in 2011.

Random Impulse X Ghetto - Top 3 Selected Refix [Audio]

I may not blog all his refixes every Sunday, but when a Grime refix comes around, there's no reason not to. This week Random Impulse picked up his guitar and re-wrote Ghetts' track (then Ghetto) Top 3 Selected in just two hours. For those who missed the first bunch of refixes, download the mixtape here.

Three New Free Wiley Tracks [Free Download]

Wiley loves to leak tracks, especially via Twitter, and that's what he's gone and done again. This afternoon it was three tracks not a few hundered by the Godfather of Grime. The first track with the ironic name being the Great Leak, before moving onto Ohh La La with Shola Ama (below). Wiley also decided to give us a beat entitled Rebel too. Currently the first and latter tracks aren't on YouTube, and if they're not one there by tomorrow, I'll upload them myself as I don't have time tonight.

Wiley - Rebel Instrumental [Download here]

Kozzie - For the Fans [Audio]

(Photography by Kids of the Underground)

For his latest track, Lewisham's Kozzie decided to pick a beat by Rude Kid. 2010 has seen Kozzie's profile rise dramatically, and his constant appearances at raves and radio sets has done nothing but help. His constant hard-work doesn't seem to slowing down either. Koz is constantly making new tracks, and he's also booked tonight for the No Hats, No Hoods event at the Old Blue, Shoreditch too infact. Check out the track below.
