Manga - Just Jam 008 Interview [Video]

Another late video by Tim & Barry, but these Just Jam nights they've been putting on each Wednesday have been brilliant from what I've heard from some of the people that have gone. Manga touches on the usual stuff during an interview, how he got into Roll Deep, what's he doing now etc. Also, a pub quiz fact for you, it turns out Good Times was the longest number one of 2010 so far with three weeks. The Roll Deep'er also talks about the fifteen track Grime mixtape with Roll Deep, as well as his solo mixtape too - Mind of a Manga. Also, don't forget to check my interview (here) with Manga from a good few weeks back now...

Edit: Set added

Blacks - On The Road Freestyle [Video]

Jumping in front of Cameraman Sketch' new camera, we've once again got OGz member Blacks. Blacks already makes many statements with his music, but this time around, he also makes one about what North London football team the South London Grime artist follows. As usual, it's nothing but high standards from the OG, when has he ever let us down to be honest...?

Sick Individual is still avaliable at Uptown Records.

Doller Da Dustman - Gwop Likes Me [Audio]

Keeping up the great workrate, again today we've got another new track from Doller Da Dustman. Once again too, it's the ever present Z Dot. The pair are starting to become a dynamic duo within the Grime scene. The Gwop Likes Me instrumental has been compared to a Maniac production, which myself, I can't really see. Doller is taking over the Grime scene in 2010 with his workrate, and Z Dot is alongside the rapper providing the majority of his beats. Let's hope the forthcoming mixtapes are at a high standard too. Don't forget to check my interview with Z Dot here.

Ny Feat. Ghetts & Wretch 32 - Bonnie & Clyde [Radio Rip]

Yes, it's another new track featuring Ghetts. Yes, it's another track ripped from Logan. Yes, Bonnie & Clyde are two people, not three, so don't ask me why there are three people on the track. Either way, overall it's a decent track from the trio. Ny as you would of guessed held it up vocally on the singing with both Ghetts and Wretch 32 providing the much needed Grimy bars. Download here.

Ghetts' forthcoming mixtape Calm Before the Storm is out July 12th. Pre-order it over at Uptown Records.

Dirrrtee x Ego Thieves – Dirrrtee EGO (Summer Mix) [Free Download]

Originally the physical copies on this mix were given away at the back-end of May. Both Dirrrtee and Ego Thieves have clearly seen this is a waste of a brilliant mix if it doesn't get shown to the wider-audiance, hense, the MP3 edition. The clothing line Dirrrtee who are responsible for SB.TV's t-shirts, and Ego Thieves who put out mixes on the regular have brought together the best of House, Garage, Dubstep, and of course, Grime.

For the Grime heads, you've got the likes of Wiley on there twice, Skepta, a bit of P Money & D Double E, plus the Grime producer of 2009 - Silencer - know known as Teddy. For you Dubstep fans out there, Gorestep producer Borgore makes an appearance, as does Benga, Joker, Breakage, and Rude Kid's Electric is on the list too. Electric, is it Grime? or is it Dubstep? Make your own mind up and download the mix by clicking here.

Wiley, Breeze & FlowDan - Life Goes On [Radio Rip]

Roll Deep are going back to their Grimy roots. The legendary Grime crew who recently topped the charts with Good Times have made a free Grime mixtape which'll be ready in a few weeks. Life Goes On is one of those tracks to be taken from the forthcoming mixtape. This was another new track Logan Sama played last night, and it features Wiley on the hook again, but he did pen some bars for the track too. Breeze also makes a feature, and it's a welcome return for FlowDan who has been quite since the release of his mixtape the Original Dan last year. Pick up the radio rip here.

Marger & Rival - DJ Limelight Freestyle [Video]

After dropping the free mixtape entitled Flow Food (here), Marger is showing his face a week or so later with a freestyle for DJ Limelight. Alongside Marger we've got another member of Alien Muzik, Rival (above). You'll probably remember Rival from clashing M.I.K at Mic Fight (here). Outside their local McDonalds the two dropped a quick freestyle to show why their ratings are raising with every track they put out...

Ghetts - Grime Daily [Radio Rip]

Reflecting on his Grime career and how much he loves the scene, we've got Ghetts' latest track from his forthcoming mixtape - Calm Before the Storm. Many have used the scene as a stepping stone to bigger things, and Ghetts say he's a "Grime artist and I'm proud of it". G-H also mentions how he may go off and dominate another genre, but he's Grime at heart. It's good to see one of the best in Grime isn't going leave the scene anytime soon. Download the radio rip here.

Ghetts' forthcoming mixtape Calm Before the Storm is out July 12th. Pre-order it over at Uptown Records

Teddy & G Tank - 4 Free Tracks [Free Download]

The duo responsible for the Ghanaian Fire EP have decided to give away a couple of tracks. Producers Teddy (left) and G Tank (right) are giving away four tracks for your Grimy ears to listen to. These include a remixes by Spooky and Rude Kid, plus vocals by Dafro and Roll Deep's J2K. If your fancy bumping up your Grime collection, add these to it by clicking here. Check the tracklisting after the jump as usual.

P Money & Blacks - Logan Sama Set [Audio/Free Download]

Last night was one of the best show I've heard from Logan in a while. This was due to the fact Logan was spinning nothing but new track after new track. Everything from Maxsta's new remix with Kano (here), Dot Rotten's new track, plus even a new one from the recently returned N.A.A crew. To top the show off, P Money (left) and Blacks (right) passed through and even dropped a little ten minute freestyle at the end. As usual it's up for free download, check here.

Pick up P Money's latest mixtape here at Uptown Records, and Blacks' here.

Terminator - Be Patient [Video]

I'm not usually a fan of the slow spittin' style, but Terminator shows us here it can be done within Grime. The slower style is usually associated with rap, but Tee sits comfertably on this dark Grimy beat which is matched perfectly with his lyrics. The former QPR player also hired the right man to shoot the video too. The video reflects the mood well, plus, it isn't too complicated. It's simple, and very effective. The track could of been longer, but let's hope there's going to be more of this music when Terminator releases the Darkside Pioneer mixtape.

MTV Wrap Up Meets Skepta [Interview]

North London Grime MC Skepta recently passed through the MTV HQ to speak with me about how he thinks his latest single 'Rescue Me' will do in the charts, his future plans for Boy Better Know, how rude he thinks young grime MCs are and much, much more. Check the interview here.

Tinchy Stryder Feat. Jodie Connor – In My System [Video]

Sorry for the pun, but Tinchy didn't take small steps, he took strydes on his way to the top. After growing up in Bow, East London, shooting a video in Barbados is a massive look for the Ruff Sqwad member. Jodie Connor is also following in the footstep of Tinchy by shooting to the top too. The young lady from Oldham met Roll Deep's Wiley in Manchester, jumped on the number one hit Good Times, and now she's with Tinchy out in the Caribbean too.

If I could sum up the track in two words, it'll be - number one. Yet again Tinchy has changed the style of his music to keep the fans entertained, and it looks like Tinchy's reign at the top isn't going to stop anytime soon. The single is out on 8th Auguest.

Fuda Guy, Roachee & Stutta - Dark Around Here [Video]

If you think you recognise the beat, it's the same Rapid production that Tinchy Stryder for the track Darker. That track though was on the Star In The Hood EP Volume 1 (here). Today's we've got another take on the beat, this time it's Ruff Sqwad's Fuda Guy (above), alongside Stutta, and the recently returned to music Roachee. Dark Round Here is your typical Rapid production which samples the RSMD instrumental (here - 3:27mins). Rapid's productions are easily recognisable, and here's another gritty beat from the Ruff Sqwad member. It looks like Roachee is getting back to his finest too with a new style...

Little Dee - Cameraman Sketch Freestyle [Video]

Fresh off the Rinse FM set with Blacks and Fangol (here), we've got Little Dee with more new bars for the camera. Dee spat new bars on the Rinse FM set, put out a new track via 1Xtra, and it looks like the workrate of this OG memeber isn't going to slow down either...

Once In A Blue is still avaliable at Uptown Records.

Blame Feat. Ruff Sqwad - On My Own [Track Of The Week]

It's a day late, but never-the-less, this has been the track I've been playing constantly all week. On My Own, which features Tinchy Stryder and Fuda Guy on the vocals, has that summertime sound and that feel good vibe. With the weather finally picking up, maybe that's why it's been on repeat all week for me. Pick it up on iTunes now by clicking here.

P Money, Fangol & Stormer @ Rinse FM [Video]

Another post about P Money (above) today, this time it's in a familiar place, Rinse FM. Alongside Nottingham's Fangol as well as Stormer. Expect the usual from the trio of MCs, big bars, big lyrics and wheels. It's your standard set when these Grime artists touch the mic. Cameraman Sketch once again providing us with the footage.

Don't forget you can still pick up Money Over Everyone at Uptown Records.

Edit: Part 2

Edit again: Part 3

Mercston - Pathway (Behind The Scenes) [Video]

Not really the best behind the scenes to be honest. It's not really even behind the scenes, it's just one big interview with random guys from the set talking about the World Cup and which video girl they'd bang. Mercston finally gets his say towards the end of the video, skip to around seven minutes for that...

P Money - 1Up (Live @ Glastonbury) [Video]

After we saw Tempa T at Radio One's Big Weekend, we all said 'ahh this is a massive look for Grime', it looks to continue. This time around we've got OGz P Money performing 1Up at Glastonbury. The crowd didn't seem dead, but it was pretty much little kids at the front and the majority I'm guessing didn't know who he was despite the round of applause at the start. It looked like everyone was vibsing to the track, so it wasn't half bad. I'm a bit dissapointed they cut the footage as P was about to perform Left The Room. Don't forget, this is also a good look for the producer of the beat, Royal T.

Both tracks are taken from Money Over Everyone which is still avaliable over at Uptown Records.

Tinchy Stryder – In My System [Better Quality Audio]

Just a little update here regarding the release of Tinchy's new single. This is a more clear version of the track, and for those who want to know, the official video is dropping Sunday. So, all those Star In The Hood fans, keep an eye out Sunday if your not watching the England game, and support Tinchy when the track is released.

Mikill Pane - Re:Definition Freestyle [Video]

When I clicked on this video, I was expecting your typical YouTube promotional video. A mixture of tracks from the artists playing that night, a picture of the flyer and photo's of the artists also playing too. It turns out, it isn't. The MC known as Mikill Pane penned lyrics to promote the event and included all the headlining names. It isn't Grime, but you cannot help but be impressed by the lyrical content of the freestyle. For more info on the night, check the website here.

Scorcher - It's My Time [Radio Rip]

Normally I don't post Scorcher's latest music or news, but his first single, it's impressive. There isn't any rubbish about lipsin' girls or 'swagger', it's back to the real talk for the one time Grime MC. It's My Time is going to be Scorcher's first single after signing a record deal. I can't see it hitting number one, but it'll deffiently get his name around more...

Concrete Jungle is still avaliable for purchase over at Uptown Records.

Once Upon A Grime Meets ZDot [Interview]

This year, the young producer known as ZDot has been putting the work in. Recently two of the names Z has worked with includes Dollar Da Dustman and Ghetts. There's been constant releases from Z, and he's looking to continue this throughout 2010. Check the interview below to see what else he's got up his sleeve...

Nico Lindsay - Just Doing Me [Audio]

More Hip-Hop than Grime with Nico Lindsay's latest track today. Since Nico rolled up to Tim Westwood's Crib Session with Trim, the rapper has increased his work rate, built a firmer fan base and whilst it's a natural progression, he's improved too. Just Doing Me which is produced by DelZ has more of an American Hip-Hop feel to it rather than a UK sound, but Nico does the beat justice never-the-less.

Tinie Tempah - NHNT Interview [Video]

Taken from an episode of No Hat No Trainers, we've got a quick catch up with the man known as Tinie Tempah. It's nothing serious, Tinie keeps up his lighhearted and laid-back appearance for this casual interview. For those who were wondering why his number two single Frisky has a similar style compared to his number one hit Pass Out, check the interview to find out why...

Badness, Dizzle Kid & DJ Spyro - Bar Codes Set [Free Download]

Recorded live from Lewi White's studio, today we've got a brand new set from Badness (above), Dizzle Kid and DJ Spyro of Rinse FM on the decks. With this set you can gaurente the usual Laaaaava from Badness, the dark flow of Dizzle Kid. Don't forget the on point mixing from Spyro too. Download the set here.

Pick up Badness' latest release over at Uptown Records.

Tinchy Stryder @ The Grassroot Soccer Camp In Africa [Video]

During this World Cup, the Ghanian born and Bow raised Star In The Hood Tinchy Stryder is out in South Africa with Nike. Whilst out in the country, Tinchy was taken along to the first grass roots soccer (football) skills holiday camp by the sports company, Nike. Since hitting the mainstream scene, Tinchy has grown up a lot, and it's clear that this trip is also making the young artist mature further.

Just Jam 009 - Woooo Riddim Special [Video]

Last night was Tim and Barry's ninth Just Jam session. This time around though, it was something a little different. The duo decided to put on a Woooo Riddim specical and involve all the artists who made the best versions. With this in mind, you know that D Double E and P Money had to be there. Alongside those two the likes of the Stay Fresh crew with the producer of the beat - S-X - showed up, the other half of the Newham Generals Footsie made an appearance, and so did Blacks of OGz. Trilla also made the trip down from Birmingham and Shorty of Boy Better Know took a short drive to East London too. As usual it was all filmed on uStream and the footage is up now for your viewing. To watch it, check the Tim and Barry website here.

Edit: Here's a freestyle from some of the MCs who featured last night after the night was done. Shot by Cameraman Sketch.

Edit again: Download the audio from last night here.

Jammer & C Gritz - Freestyle [Video]

Jammer's forthcoming album - Jahmanji - is being released on July 12th, so expect to see his face everywhere soon in last minute promotion. Yesterday we saw the official video for 10 Man Roll (here), and today we've got the Boy Better Know duo of Jammer and C Gritz linking up again, but this time for a freestyle.

Shizzio & Ghetts Studio Session + New Track with Devlin [Video/Audio]

We all know Ghetts is one of the best in the Grime scene, but penning a new track in less than five minutes is pretty impressive. The former Movement member is once again linking up with Devlin plus Shizzio for this banger. After a recent period away with a Pop edge, Devlin is back on his fully Grimy vibe. Check the duo of Shizzio and Ghetts in the studio before hearing the track afterwards. Download the mixtape here.

Pre-order Calm Before the Storm at Uptown Records - here.

JJ Feat. Blacks, Little Dee & Fangol - Rinse FM Set [Video]

As usual, Cameraman Sketch is yet at another Grime event. Being close friends with the OGz, it was obvious he'd hit the Rinse FM studio to fill Blacks (above) , Little Dee, fellow Nottingham'er Fangol plus JJ on the decks. For the full set, click here. The question is, why is Littles wearing a Chelsea shirt? I thought the South Londoner supported Millwall...

Don't foget to pick up Blacks' latest CD (here) and Little Dee's latest CD (here) over at Uptown Records.

Lethal Bizzle's Response To Being N-Dubz [Video]

Clearing up his side of the story regarding the Bizzle vs N-Dubz clash at the Soccer Six event a few weeks ago is Lethal B. On Monday night Channel 4 played the first episode of Being N-Dubz. It's a show about what N-Dubz do from a day to day basis and what they've been through really. During the show we saw confrontation at Soccer Six. With a few bits of editing, you don't get to see the whole thing. Da Bizzle explains his side of the story and takes a few shots at the Camden trio...

Edit: Dappy replies to Lethal.

Jammer Feat. Boy Better Know - 10 Man Roll [Video]

Originally it was Frisco's lyrics, but another member of Boy Better Know has taken those lyrics and turn them into his own track. 10 Man Roll by Jammer featuring the whole of Boy Better Know is more of a commercial tune. With Jammer now signed to Big Dada, we all expected it to be fair. The video on the other hand, it's original and creative. Yet again, commercial. Jammer is clearly looking at the bigger picture here, and let's hope there's some more classic Grimy sounds on his forthcoming album Jahmanji.

Tinchy Stryder – In My System (Behind The Scenes) [Photos]

Just a couple of quick snaps of Tinchy out in Barbados shooting the video for his new track In My System. Long gone are the days of shooting hood videos in Bow (check Mainstream Money), it's much more exotic places with a larger budget nowadays for the Ruff Sqwad crew member. If you haven't heard the track yet, check here, and check the jump for a couple of photos. Click to enlarge.

Skepta - Oynama Sikidim Sikidim [Video]

Now this isn't something we expected from North London resident Tottenham. From a translator Oynama means you do not play with, and for Sikidim, I have no idea. Kicking off the track is the acoustic guitar before Skepta moves into his up-beat lyrics. The hook being in Turkish with the track having that typical Turkish sound with an Urban edge to it. A little something different from Skeppy...

Edit: Check the behind the scenes - here.

Dizzle Kid - DTA [Audio]

If you still don't know the name by now, or think you recognise the name, Dizzle Kid has been working closely with both Badness and Lil Narsty. As well as those music artists, Dizzle has also been kitted out regularly by DTA (Don't Trust Anybody). Due to this sponsership, Dizzle made a track especially dedicated to the clothing brand, and you can catch it on the DTA homepage now. Check it out the Footsie production here.

Fuda Guy - Party (Behind The Scenes) [Video]

Taken from his free Rock inspired download, Fuda Guy has decided to shoot a video for track six of seven, Party. This time around, with a title like Party, you can guess what sort of track it's going to be. The mixture of Dance with Fuda Guy's lyrics on top creates a song to vibe to this summer. With the video shoot of course you've got the likes of Mercston and J2K to show their faces. The video is looking more professional compared to the previous, plus, it looks more like a television video instead of just for the internet. Let's see if Fuda can take himself to the next level. Download the Rock This 4 Now EP here.

Tempa T @ Just Jam 007 [Video]

Tim & Barry have really got something going on here with these Just Jam nights. I still haven't got myself down to one sadly. Tomorrow sees Just Jam 009 with the Newham Generals, P Money & the Stay Fresh crew plus more. It's a Woo Riddim special. Two weeks ago though, Tempa T showed up to the night in East London to perform. As usual, Next Hype was performed for the well...hype. Tempz also spat iPar at Just Jam too. Here's part one of three, I'll keep you updated.

Don't forget, you can still pick up Next Hype plus all the remixes over at Uptown Records - here.

Edit: Part 2

Badness - Silencer [Radio Rip]

If you know your Grime, you can guess who produced the beat by the name of the track before I even say it. Formally known as Silencer, we've once again got Teddy on the buttons for this Grime banger. Badness regularly travels from Birmingham to London, and the Midlands scene is looking very healthy this year. This is the latest track from the artist who recently sent for Vybz Cartel (here).

Pick up Badness' latest release - the Lava Continues 2 - at Uptown Records, here.

Ghetts - Cameraman Sketch Interview [Video]

Yesterday we saw Ghetts get interviewed by MTV's Donatella, today we've got Cameraman Sketch's interview. This time around it isn't your industry questions or very organised like MTV, more a heat of the moment interview. Ghetts talks about his good friend Devlin, the Godfather of Grime Wiley, plus Ghetts also brings up Skepta and Doogz brother Crazy Titch. As usual though, P Money also gets brought up. One positive coming from this interview though is that it looks like F*ck Radio could make a return...

Pre-order Calm Before the Storm over at Uptown Records now - here.

Avalanch Feat. Basco - The Future [Video]

Lifted from Avalanch's forthcoming mixtape - No Invitation - today we see the release of the video for track four - the Future. In the build up to his new mixtape, Avalanch has put the work into promoting his name. We've seen recent freestyles including the Ebony & Ivory freestyle, plus the remix. As well as this it's constant promotion on social networking sites and now a video to follow all of this.

B-Live Feat. Newham Generals, Skepta & Sypda - Modern Warfare 2 [Radio Rip]

Originally, on the Project we were mean't to have the original Modern Warfare, but it turns out B-Live (above) is going to release that track alongside this remix. As you all know B-Live works closely with the Boy Better Know crew, so it was only right he drew in a name from the camp. Alongside the Newham Generals, you've got BBK's Skepta as well as Trigga on the remix, officially called Modern Warfare 2. Expect the usual D Double E and Footsie hype, Skepta has moved back to his older flow and style for this remix, and Trigga Sypda holds it up for himself. If you love Grime, this is one you need to pick up when it's released alongside the original...

N.A.A Are Back (Freestyle) [Video]

The N.A.A (New Age Army) crew are back on the scene. In 2006 L.Dot left the crew to persue his own solo career, but even L.Dot is back apart of the South London crew. The four-some return with a brand new freestyle for the Grime Daily camera, and they show us what the scene has been missing. Big Narstie (above) has still shown his face now and again, but this looks like we're going to see more of his crude style again...

9 Milli Major - Rude Boy Ting (Shadow D Remix) [Free Download]

Parts of Czech Republic are starting to take to the Grimy sound hailing originally out of East London. Recently Dot Rotten hit the European country to perform, and here's a remix hailing from the country formally known as Czechoslovakia. Shadow D has got hold of Bloodline's 9 Milli Major's latest track and put his own twist on it. Throughout you've got the contrasting dark and gritty sounds usually assosiated with Grime, plus, you've also got a few Funky vibes throughout too. Kicking off the track with an electric guitar, you know the track is going to be something different. Download it via MediaFire or Rapidshare.

Pick up 9 Milli Major's latest CD - Keep Prayin' - over at Uptown Records.

Don Strapzy Feat. Ghetts - Murder [Radio Rip]

A couple of weeks back, we saw rapper Don Strapzy (above) in the studio with Ghetts making a new track, and it looks like this could be the one. After hooking up recently with D-Bo (here), Ghetts once again goes in with the bars. This time it's over a Rap beat than a Grimy one though. Don Strapzy on the other hand has created a wave within the Rap scene. Stapzy's punchlines are what makes him stand out from many others from within his respected scene. Check his recent free download - Blue Magic - and check out what I mean. Download the radio rip of Murder here.

Don't forget, you can pre-order Calm Before the Storm at Uptown Records (here). Also, check out Ghetts' recent interview for the MTV Wrap Up - here.

D Double E @ No Hats No Trainers [Video]

We've all seen Newham Gens D Double E on the show, and we've all seen clips of the Street Fighter video which also appeared on the show. Today, here's what went on before and during the whole show. DEE catches up with Loudmouth, 1Xtra DJ MistaJam and Musical D before the show before moving onto recording the Street Fighter video.

M.I.K - 64 Bars Of Death [Video]

M.I.K didn't lyrically kill anyone off with these bars, but he did damage the Aftershave instrumental by Rude Kid. After releasing Grime to Five, Family Tree's M.I.K seems to be popping up everywhere. Reguarly since the start of June, it's like you can't go a day or two without seeing his face on someone elses YouTube channel or hearing a new freestyle from him. Here's his latest below.

Little Dee Feat. Craiigg - Take You There [Radio Rip]

Freshly ripped from DJ Cameo's (centre) 1Xtra show, here's OGz Little Dee (left). Littles has been quiet this year, but his recent freestyle with Mr Blue Borough has seen Dee's workrate shoot up. As well as this new track - I Can Take Take You There featuring Craiigg - he also recently hit Rinse FM alongside Blacks and Fangol with JJ on the decks (here). It's a different sound from Little Dee this time, not so Grimy. It's more of a dance track, but not a commercial sell-out club track, a underground summer track. Let's hope this gains Littles a few more fans with this different style of music. Download the radio rip here, and pick up Little's latest release at Uptown Records, here.

JJ Feat. Blacks, Little Dee & Fangol - Rinse FM Set [Free Download]

Alongside the resident OGz DJ - JJ - OGz members Blacks and Little Dee took a trip to the now legal radio station Rinse FM. Finally we're hearing some fresh material from Littles. One of Nottinghams finest also took a trip down to the London based radio station to hook up with the OGz. With JJ's mixing on point as usual, the MCs bring their hype bars with beats from Rude Kid, Teddy and more of the usual suspects. Download the set here, download the full show and set here.

Pick up Blacks' latest CD over at Uptown Records (here), as well as Little Dee's too (here).
