Frisco has really upped his levels recently. The F64s (Rap & Grime) he done is a big example. Fris has captured a bit of an American style here I think, and it suits him. Possibly the best I've heard from him. I know you hardcore Frisco fans can give me 101 other songs you think are better, but I dunno, I really like this one. I've never been a huge Frisco fan if I'm honest, but if he continues with more stuff like this, I can't see why I won't buy his next CD...Click the picture for the radio rip of this track and the download should pop-up on your screen via Rapidshare.
Dot Rotten Feat. Ice Kid & Jack Jones - Get Money
I thought the other day when I posted Jack Jones' F64 I recognised him. Turns out it's from the track 'Get Money' off Dot Rotten's mixtape S.O.O.N (Something Out of Nothing). There's nothing flashy or over complicated about this hood video. It's your standard in the streets, various angles, zoom in and zoom out job. What I would like to see though is Ice Kid put a mixtape out and see if he can hold it down on his own rather than feature on various tracks all the time.
Once Upon A Grime Presents - Desperado, Life & Lyrics
Not too long after releasing 'ABM', Desperado drops his next release 'Life & Lyrics' in assosiation with us here at Once Upon A Grime. The latest mixtape containing such features from Joe Grind SN1, Young Mad B and Trey Songs. The latest installment from Despa is a Rap edition with a Grime one rumored to follow not too long after. Check the tracklisting here, and click the above artwork by Mute to download the mixtape from MegaUpload, or SendSpace here.
Pass Out & Never Be Your Woman Out Today
Today see's the release of two of the biggest tracks so far this year are up for download as of today. Initially I heard 'Never Be Your Woman' back in July last year. I just thought it would be another Wiley song that he makes and never releases. I was quite suprised when I saw he was releasing it though. The ShyFx version that he is releasing as the main version now is my favourite though of all the variations. 'Pass Out' has been heard at every dance venue up and down the country since January. Thank nerds for YouTube rippers. This is the track that will get Tinie Tempah noticed outside the Grime / Urban culture. Even your Nan will dance to this whilst doing the washing on a Sunday afternoon. Click the above artwork to be taken to the downloads.
Deeperman - BDBTV Freestyle (Mini Video)
Deeperman (far right) has been quite quiet for a while now. We haven't heard much from the man from Dagenham. He spat a freestyle over an acoustic guitar a few weeks back, but that's probably the last time we did hear from him except the GrimeForum set. Now Devz has got signed, hopefully he can bring through the rest of Outakers. 'Get To Know Me' is out soon, hopefully it'll be a solid mixtape from the OT crew member.
Once Upon A Grime Presents - Desperado, Life & Lyrics (Artwork + Tracklisting)
I should of really posted this a few days ago to promote it more, but, better late than never. Not too long after dropping 'ABM', here is Desperado's new mixtape. I'll give it more of a write up later when it comes out at 6pm. For now, above is the artwork and below is the tracklisting.

Killa P Sending For Big H
Only a few days back, Killa P was sending again for Durrty Goodz, now he's going for Bloodline's Big H. "I'll chop off your rawtid dreads". He's not exactly holding back to be fair. It seems he's cool with the rest of Bloodline except from Big H. He didn't only send once, but twice. Let's see if Big H will reply...
Send Number One
Send Number Two
Merky Ace & Crew - Westwood Crib Session
This time around on the Westwood Crib Session we've got Merky Ace alongside a few of the Family Tree. The full line up is: Ego, Kozzie, Desperado, Stormer, TKO & Spooky on the decks. You know Westwood doesn't just let anyone on his sets. So, as usual, it's a decent set to listen to. Watch and see how a few of the youngers are coming through the ranks of Grime. View my interview with Merky here, Kozzie here & here plus Desperado here. Don't forget, Once Upon A Grime Presents, Desperado - Life & Lyrics is out tomorrow!

Chipmunk / Dizzee Rascal / Tinie Tempah - Video Diaries
Three of the top boys coming out of the Grime scene and heading for chart sucess have all been keeping video diarys recently. Chipmunk & Tinie Tempah we've seen before with previous episodes and now Dizzee has entered the video diary scene with a two part diary about preparing for the Brits awards which took place the other week. If you didn't know Dizzee walked away with British Solo Male Award. Also, don't forget, the track he performed with Florance of Florance and the Machines is now up for download, purchase here.
We'll start in alphabetical order, thus, Chipmunk is up first. You'll catch Chipmunk doing the ironing (interesting, yes) and chatting to Skepta about the difference between the US and the UK in terms of music videos. Also you'll catch Tinie Tempah and Skepta performing their new tracks both out March 1st. Click here to pre-order Tinie's, and click here to pre-order Skeptas.
After C comes D. Dizzee Rascal now. You can't walk straight onto stage and perform, rehersales are needed if your professional. In the first video Dizzee and Florance practise their chart hit (currently number 3 in the charts) in the studio. In part two Dizzee is backstage at the Brits doing a quick modelling shoot and chatting to Johnathan Ross. Lucky John got a pair of Dizzee's Tongue N' Cheek Air Max 90s from Dizz.
Part 1
Part 2
After all the touring, poor Tinie has gone and lost his voice. So, for video diary eleven and twelve, he's decided to write down what he wanted to say on paper plates. It will bring a slight laugh and smile to your face some messages written down. Alongside that, Tinie was interviewed (pre lost voice) with ITN Music News which is avaliable to watch here.
Double S Feat. Sonical - Replay Remix
I was waiting on this to be uploaded to YouTube before posting, but whoever posts it gets it taken down to WMG or something like that. Basically, copyright. One third of Marvell, Double S, jumps on the infamous track by Iyaz and gives it the North London remix. I wasn't a big fan of the original, but with two seperate videos on YouTube racking up nearly 23 millions views between them, some people did. Click the above picture for the download link.
A-List & Roll Deep / New Tracks
As the Godfather of Grime is involved in both, it's easier to join two posts into one. As I've mentioned many times before, I don't think there is a day or so that goes past that I don't showcase a A-List track. Terror Danjah on the buttons for this one. I showcased the Roll Deep track a few days back and the video for it got shot on Sunday. Check out the audio and 'behind the scenes' sneak preview below.
A-List - After Hours
Behind the Scenes of 'Good Times' - Roll Deep
Shooting Star Poets – Campaign Time [Official Video]
Now I normally provide radio rip links for tracks, but this is one I will never leak in any sort of form, and this is why.
“6 grime emcee’s and a female singer have come together to make an anti crime campaign tune called “Campaign Time” which is released on April 5th. It’s featuring Trim and Obese and there’s going to be a launch party for it at Everton Football Club on March 31st. It’s supported by SAMM (Support After Murder And Manslaughter)”.
Now, if there is one track you do buy this year, make sure it's this one. For those who have just loaded their YouTube rippers, don't. Spare 79p or so for once.
Rowntree - Out Of Reach - Competition (Winner)
Time is up. Congratulations to Nick Westrup winner of the free signed Rowntree CD! The answer was A. March 1st. Better luck next time for those who entered. I'm sure we'll put on some more competitions soon here at Once Upon A Grime.
Grime Special Tonight on Kiss
I say tonight, I mean from 2am till 4am you'll hear some freestyles from Grimes top boys. The first to pass through is the duo from Newham, yep, you've guessed it, the Newham Generals. 30 minutes of D Double E & Footsie is follows by a couple OT members, a Grime artist in a war and a member of N.A.S.T.Y crew. Devlin, Dogzilla, Ghetts and Griminal will feature straight after. Stop getting excited, they're all pre-recorded. You really think they'll have Ghetts and the following crew in the studio at the same time? Yes, OGz are 'jus' passin' thru' afterwards. Don't get too excited. It's all pre-recorded. You really thought they'd let Ghetts walk out the studio then OGz walk in? To finish this off, Bloodline end the night. A pretty good line-up I think. Don't worry if you miss it, somebody will hopefully record it and I'll post the download link on Saturday. Click here for more info.
Ghetts Talks About P Money Clash & Freestyle
Yeah I'm a few days late, but with a video like this, it's better late than never. In the build up the the war dub that dropped last Monday, Grime Daily didn't only catch Ghetts recording the dub, but also got a quick interview with the Grime legend himself. Alongside that, listen to Aaron Hansons discussion about it on Reprezent London Radio.

Sway / Paper Pabs - New Mixtapes
If you bought Sway's Valentines Day track, this part of the blog won't matter to you. That's because whoever bought the track could email Sway with proof and get this mixtape early. For those who didn't, here it is. Within 28 minutes the download crashed the server. That's how popular it is. If it's anything like Sways old stuff, I'll be very happy. Check out the mini-video below and click the picture to sign up to Sways mailing list to get the mixtape.
Finally Paper Pabs is droppin' his mixtape. It's been a long time coming. The debut mixtape of course features his Bloodline counterparts Big H, Bossman & 9 Milli Major. Expect big things when this drops. Bloodline fans will be happy. 9 Milli's and Big H's mixtapes to follow very soon after hopefully. Pre-order here and also check the tracklisting too.
Three New Freestyles
To kick things off, we'll start with the infamous and every growing F64. This time we have Lewisham rapper Jack Jones. He isn't Grime, more Rap than anything. But in F64 terms, it doesn't really matter. It's pretty clear Blacks rates him with his Facebook status yesterday. What'd you think?
Another video shot by Tim & Barry now. Fumin features alongside Shanx, Jookie Mundo & Diesel. Not an unusual line up as they feature on each others tracks many times before.
The last one featuring the ever contriversial and talented Maxsta with S-H on the video too.
Dot Rotten & Various / Jammer - New Videos
Dot Rotten is back on the scene in 2010 after releasing two CDs in two months (Something Out of Nothing & Extra Attention) towards the end of 2009. The vide is taken off Ghost Grizzles 'Steppin' Stones Vol. 2'. The Werewolf production has many names on it. Here they are in full; Cyko Logik, 14s, Dot Rotten, Skillion, MSL, Mega 12, Micky 2 Time and finally ASB. In all fairness, it's quite a good track I think. It's a good Grime track with a variety of flows skipping over the beats.
A day or two ago, I posted Jammers video for 'Leave Me Alone'. Also during that post, I showed you 'Party Animal TV - Part 2' in which Jam mentions his next single. After getting rinse various times on Logan's show amongest many others, it looks like 'Better Than Who?' is Jammers latest single. The video shot by SB.TV is different and works well. Whenever Jam mentions a name, SB switchs quickly to a previous shooting he's done with that artist, or if he hasn't (which most he has) just a video in general of them. Names include Frisco, Silencer and P Money.
Two New A List Tracks
Every other day there is a new A-List track. Here's two of them. 'Keep Searching' is my favourite one out of the two. A bit of a zoners one with Wrigley and Brazen on the feature alongside Wiley. One of the, if not the, best I think from the newly formed movement. The second being a remix of a track Wiley did in June. Not 100% sure if it's officially A-List material, but quite a unique sound to say the least with J2K on the remix and Dipples on the buttons.

Wiley Feat. J2K - Swimming Remix
Rowntree - Out Of Reach - Competition
As the CD is only days away, Rowntree is offering one lucky fan the chance to win a free signed CD by the producer himself. On the CD you've got the likes of Big H, Scorcher, Mercston, Slix, Rapid, the list continues! All you have to do is answer this simple question;
When is Out of Reach out?
A. March 1st
B. March 11th
C. March 21st
Send you answers to OnceUponAGrime@Gmail.com with the title 'Rowntree - Out Of Reach - Competition'. I'll announce when the winner will be picked tomorrow. Good luck!
Click here and look for a little hint or to pre-order.
P Money - Slang (Free Download)

My favourite combination here. One of the best in Grime over a Dubstep beat. 99% of the time it works, and it has again. P Money features on another Sukh Knight beat which is going to be on the first Dubstep album from True Tiger. Remember what I said earlier, who can touch OGz at the moment? Everyone in the camp is releasing new tracks on the regular. Download the radio rip here and listen before you add to your iTunes collection below. Download removed upon request.
Camalot - Untitled Beat
I saw this the other day on Facebook, and thought I may as well share it. Camalot also known as C Gritz to some of you has been apart of a couple Boy Better Know features and that's where you may know him from. Here is his latest beat. Don't know what genre to class it under. Take some time out to listen to this one, it's a long beat...
Dready Talks About Limitations of UK's Music Scene
This isn't Grime, it's just about the UK Urban music scene in general. But I found this quite interesting. Dready is a producer who speaks the truth here. It's just a snippet. The full interview should be on Jump Off's website soon.
Edit: Another Part
Wretch 32 / Stutta Feat. Ghetts & Rapid - New Videos
A few weeks after launching his website, Wretch32.com, as well as giving away a free mixtape to coninside with it like Bashy did with Bashy.com, Wretch has shot his first video. 'Born Winner' features Wizzy Wow (who also gave away a mixtape recently, click here) on the hook and backing vocals.
I've previously posted pictures from the day this was shot and a behind the scenes video too, finally the video is here. Stutta making a firm return and bring the ever present and hype artist Ghetts alongside one of the best producers in Grime, Rapid, it's going to get a few hits on YouTube lets say.
Bloodline Update
Since the Wiley 'beef' the crew has gone pretty quiet. Big H, 9 Milli Major and Paper Pabs all have mixtapes on the way, that's maybe why. That'll result in two Grime hopefully and one Hip-Hop one from Pabs. It turns out though 9 Milli doesn't think the Bloodline vs Roll Deep 'beef' is finished though. Catch his freestyle below and also SB.TV following the crew around and Big H getting the McDonalds manager shook. Also, got a little track on Facebook today from 9 Milli. It's old, but it's the first on YouTube, so many of you may of not heard it. May as well throw that one up too.

Desperado Feat. Young Mad B - I Grind So Hard (EXCLUSIVE)
As you may have seen me mention many times before, Desperado's (left) latest mixtape is out this Sunday. Here is a preview track for all of my readers. Exclusive to Once Upon A Grime. The tracklisting and artwork will drop soon, get ready for Sunday though! Click the above picture to download. By the way, that isn't Young Mad B on the right hand side...

OGz / Manga - Live / Freestyle / Interview
OGz were yet again caught on camera by Cameraman Sketch, and here's more footage from the South London crew and the man behind the camera Sketch. First off we have JJ of Rinse FM on the decks mixing for P Money performing at Underground Unit. You'll see spitting tracks from 'Money Over Everyone' and over various other hype Grime & Dubstep instrumentals.
Joing the OGz on stage (Blacks, Desperado, P Money & Jendor) was Nottingham MC Wariko. We all know how OGz ruled 2009 on the mics and in 2010 it continues. Who can actually challenge them as a top Grime crew? Before you say Boy Better Know, yes, they are good too, but OGz reach radio a lot more and are currently putting out more music than any other camp. The latest being Desperados mixtape this Sunday. Check back here for that one.
Cameraman Sketchs poor hard-drive and broadband width. They must be suffering from the amount of uploads at the moment. Here is another from him. This time we see him catch up with Roll Deep crew member for a quick freestyle (which got interupted by the Marvell boys) as well as an interview too.
Tinie Tempah / Scorcher - The Tour Video Diarys
Usually, "what happens on tour, stays on tours". This quote is said and done to a certain limit these days. Whoever goes on tour now also makes a video diary alongside it. The most consistant of those is none other than Tinie Tempah. Scorcher has now also jumped on the bandwagon with the series of episodes to come entitled 'Scorchers Life'. Here are the latest episodes....
Scorchers Life - Episode 1
Charlie Sloth, Farma G, Black The Ripper - Not Like You
Right, this isn't Grime, more UK Hip-Hop. But, before you complain, I bet there's a fair few on here who do enjoy UKHH or will enjoy this track at least. The latest video to drop by Charlie Sloth (left) is alongside Farma G and the well known Black the Ripper. The best part of the video is that it was all shot in one go. Don't forget, the Black Book (produced by Dominic Owen) comes out on March 1st with features alongside Wretch 32, Skinnyman and Mystro. I can only assume this track will be on there. Here's the official video, a quick shoutout from the day and The Black Book advert.

Wiley Feat. J2K, Margs & Tricky – Come And Get It
I'm not sure if this one will come under the name 'the A-List' or what to be honest. Either way, it's another track from Wiley and it seems like his hard workrate isn't slowing down. The A List may actually make something after many have doubted the project. I'm not too sure about this Bless Beats production. Sounds a bit all over the place for me. What'd you think?
Desperado - Auto Gunz (Free Download)
I've been hold this back for a week or so now, and it finally leaked today. Desperado (left) goes in on this one. He mentions Ghetts and Griminal. Lets just say, he loves where his from and doesn't think much of Greengate. This time we have Teeza on the buttons. Don't forget, 'Once Upon A Grime Presents, Desperado - Life & Lyrics' is out this Sunday for free download! Click the pic' to download.
Hammer / Bashy - Behind The Scenes
I swear this videos are poppin' up every other day now! What's the craze?! They never use to happen. After seeing Bashy's 'behind the scenes' video and neglecting Hammers for a while, I thought I'd throw them both in the same post. Hammer's video takes you onto the set of his less Grimey, more Funky track 'Mic Check'. Bashy's 'behind the scenes' takes you to where he filmed the track for the forthcoming film 'Shank'. Enjoy.
Hammer - Mic Check - The Making Of...
Bashy Feat. Loick Essien - When The Sky Falls - Behind The Scenes
Jammer - Party Animal TV / Leave Me Alone (Video)
Part Two of Jammers 'Party Animal TV' see's the rasta in his hotel room on tour. Jammer plays us about this new track he's made as well as a new beats he got sent over that day too. Anyway, Jammer goes over the beat made infamous by P Money when he spat his N.E bars over it during a set. The Boy Better Know crew member does the beat justice I think. A different world from 'it's the merkle maaaaaan'. We can see a more relaxed Jammer, but don't think he's gone soft. I'm pretty sure we'll hear that bar again on his album soon.
Party Animal TV - Part 2
Jammer's New Single - Leave Me Alone
Ghetts - Destruction of the Eiffel Tower
It's half one in the morning, and I doubt you'd want a write up about this either. Basically, Ghetts goes in. Very personally here. Mentioning parents is over the line for me...
Wariko / Marvell - Freestyles & Performances
Thank Cameraman Sketch for three out of five of these videos. He's been putting the work in lately. He captured P Money live at Shorditch as well as Wariko and even got some backstage freestyle footage. Alongside that he caught on tape Marvell performing live too.
First off we have Wariko. Since hanging with the OGz, Wariko has been making a name for himself outside of his hometown Nottingham. Recently he ventured down to Shorditch alongside P Money to perform a couple of acapellas. Afterwards, he popped backstage alongside Akala being one of many MCs to spit bars to a beatboxer.
Performing at Shorditch
Backstage Afterwards
Now we have three different Marvell videos from three different cameramen. Street Starz, Cameraman Sketch and Urban Development. The first being a freestyle on the set of 'Maybe Ting Refix' by Ozzie B. If you watched the video here, you would have seen two of the three Marvell boys performing in the background at some stage. The second and third being Marvell performing live. All I can say is, the crowd don't give the best reaction during the songs in either video...
